Kudos to our keynote speaker, ScottBrown, all Breakout Session presenters, Planning Committee team members and EventVolunteers. I appreciate you partnering with me to make this event so successful!

This year’s conference will be held on May 15-16, 2020 , SAVE THE DATE. Join us forFriday night fun with live entertainment. The fun continues Saturday with the districtspeech contest, education sessions, recognition and much more! We are setting the bar high for a record turnout. DTM Candidates, mark your calendars! AllDTM award applications must be receivedby world headquarters no later thanWednesday, April 1 for participation in theMay 16th DTM minting ceremony.
Here are some tips to make sure you canparticipate in the ceremony this spring:
1. Plan ahead and sign up early to givespeeches at your club.
2. Join an advanced club! These clubshave experienced Toastmasters who canhelp you with longer speech projects.
3. Ask your VP Education to submit youraward application electronically!
4. Get a DTM mentor! This person canhold you accountable for finishing like achampion.
5. Work on your High PerformanceLeadership Project (HPL). Ideas are listedin the next section.

Organize an Area or Divisionspeech contest
Serve as your division's PRmanager and publish newsletters
Serve as chairperson for a districtconference committee. Lead a teamof volunteers to arrange for food,decorations, technology, and more!
Serve on the DTM committee. Helporganize the minting ceremony,check in with mentors and proteges,or create blog content.

Let's Celebrate!ALLIANCE TOASTMASTERS CLUB 767celebrated its 70th anniversary onDecember 4, 2019
Josh Pirogowicz, ACS, ALB, did anoutstanding job as Master of Ceremonies.
District 10 Director Sravanthi Vallampati,DTM gave an inspiring speech about howthe club has kept active and relevant forthe last 70 years.
Club President, Sam Pansino, DTM, spokeabout being an active member for the last50 years, Sam gave a history lesson andshared newspaper clippings he saved overthe years. There were 4 humorous speeches -
Area 13 Director, Keith Wilhelm, told astory about his pets, The Lab and theParakeet.
Joy Montgomery talked about her little redcar.
Doug Price, IP1, V.P. Education, sharedhis idea for Iron Man figure skating.
Matt Henson, VC4, V.P. Public Relations,spoke about Cats and how theycommunicate with people.
Other guests were: Michele LaBasi, DTMfrom Thursday Night Toastmasters inGreen and John Milan from Coastal Pets. Members and guests laughed andcelebrated with food and cake! Doug Pricewon the best sweater prize.

Kiril (Kirk) Grozdanovski made a significant impact on the Thursday Night Toastmastersclub in Green since joining the club on April 1, 2019.
Kirk was an entrepreneur in the marketing industry, specializing in Search EngineOptimization. He joined Toastmasters to grow his business. He served as the clubSecretary and had a hunger for connection, learning and wisdom. He attended theweekly club Post-Toast, a gathering of members after each club meeting.
While Kirk traveled for 2 months to his home country, Macedonia, he kept in close touchwith the club by messaging and commenting on the club's social media posts.
Prior to his passing, Kirk had advanced to Level 5 in the Persuasive Influence path. The
club received special permission from Toastmasters International to award him with anhonorary Level 5 certificate, which has been given to his family.
Kirk spurred fun and laughter. He raised the bar to motivate other members. He inspiredindividuals his age to join Toastmasters.
Kirk will be missed. His legacy of connection, learning and wisdom lives on. He willcontinue to influence and inspire the lives that he touched.
The club will be organizing an initiative in February to increase awareness duringAmerican Heart Month in Kirk's honor since he died of a heart attack on the soccer field.Stay tuned for the District 10 January Member Spotlight which will feature DistinguishedToastmaster, Michele LaBasi, and details of the initiative.
