This letter is to advise you of the restructure of the Metro South Recruitment Hub in preparation for transition of Recruitment Services to the Hospital and Health Services.

We provide the following information as part of the consultation process: - Nature of the proposed changes (see Attachment One – Transition of Metro South

Hub Staffing Transition

West Moreton HHS has indicated they will require to have their 3 staff located on site at the Ipswich Hospital, located in Chelmsford Avenue, Ipswich.

As West Moreton is currently serviced from the Metro South Hub, expressions of interest will be requested from staff from the current hub, located at Mt Gravatt, to determine who are willing and able to relocate to West Moreton at the AO4, AO3 level.

The AO2 position, currently located in the Ipswich City Plaza, Bell Street, Ipswich, will also relocate to the Ipswich Hospital.

If no employees are in a position to relocate, FTEs will need to be reduced accordingly and recruitment undertaken at West Moreton

At a minimum, a closed merit processes will be required to be undertaken to reduce the AO4 staff from three to two, the AO3 staff from six to five and the AO2 staff from three to two.

Staff who are not successful in the closed merit process will be considered for the immediate placement into a suitable alternative permanent role within the service.

Should a suitable vacancy not be found, the employee will be registered as an Employee Requiring Placement.

At this stage, the Metro South HHS has no intention to relocate recruitment staff prior to or upon transition in March, due to accommodation issues at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
