    Pat and Go

    1. QBs form one line on the goalline, one at the 20 yard line, facing each other. Bothlines should be in the middle of the field.

    2. WRs form one line on the goalline at the hash and one line on the 20 yard line at thehash.

    3. When QB is ready, they will pat the ball to start the WR.4. WR should work on foot fire, hand movement, etc. while getting off the ball.5. The WR will then work at about half speed up the hash.6. First 2-3 rotations (Level 2):

    a. QB will throw a Level 2 ball (some height, but not a lot)b. QB should lay the ball over the WRs shoulder, hitting him in stridec. QB should try to get the ball to turn over with as many rotations as possibled. The ball should be caught between 15 and 20 yardse. WRs are focusing on catching an over-the-shoulder ball, with thumbs

together, pinkies out7. Next 2-3 rotations (Level 1):

    a. QB will throw a Level 1 ball (no height, straight at WR)b. QB should put ball out in front of WR, but still hitting him in stridec. QB again working on high release, a lot of rotations on the balld. The ball should be caught between 15 and 20 yardse. WRs are focusing on catching the ball in front, thumbs together

    8. Next 2-3 rotations (Back Shoulder):a. QB will throw a Level 1 ball (no height, straight at WR)b. QB should put ball on WRs back shoulderc. QB again working on high release, a lot of rotations on the balld. The ball should be caught between 15 and 20 yardse. WRs are focusing on a back shoulder catch while they flip their hips, thumbs

    together

    Noose Drill

    1. Set up 2 stand-up dummies at 5 yards apart (or use other players)2. Receivers form two lines, one at each dummy

    a. Work release with foot-fire, hand movements, etcb. Approach 2nd dummy at about half speed, working foot-fire when about a yard

    from 2nd

dummyc. Turn to face QB, hands up in front of face, thumbs togetherd. Receive ball from QB and freeze it in the caught position until all other

receivers count out loud, Thousand 1, Thousand 2e. Tuck ball into ribs and elbow, turn and run 5 yardsf. If laces are visible to him, WR should say, Yes, Yes, Yesg. If laces are not visible to him, WR should say, No, No, No

    3. While WR is going through the noose, QB will take a 3-step dropa. Focus on keeping ball up at armpit, 6 inches from chest, tip pointed out.b. During first few reps, QB should work on hitches, keeping feet under armpitsc. Then incorporate Avoid the Rush Drill by stepping right or left, then hitching

ii. Can use hand shields to throw at QBs feetd. Ball should be released as WR settles into the middle of the dummies

    4. After giving the WR a ball he can freeze, we will begin throwing the ball at one ofhis shoulders, causing him to turn with the ball.

**Other WR will not count on the shoulder turn drill**

Work-Around Drill1. Using the same dummies from the Noose Drill, WR will form a line at one dummy2. On his first two reps, the WR will work a get off to the right of the 1 st dummy3. When the WR approaches the 2nd dummy, he will begin to foot-fire and work around

the right side of the dummy

    4. He should snap his head around quickly and get hands up to find the ball quickly5. QBs will be about 10-12 yards from the 2nd dummy, still working on hitches while

    WR works his footwork

    6. QBs will release the ball as WR begins his break around the dummy7. On the next two reps, the WR will work a get off to the left of the 1 st dummy, still

working to the right of the 2nd

    8. Move QBs to other side of the 1st dummy so that WR can then work to the leftaround the 2nd dummy4 Lines (Routes on Air)

    1. QBs will form 4 lines in the middle of the field2. WR will align in base formation3. Coach will call out play and all 4 receivers will run assigned route4. QB on one end will call snap count for all 4 lines5. Each QB throws to a different receiver, but delivers ball on time and in specified area6. QBs will rotate one spot to their left until they have thrown to all 4 positions7. Coach then changes the play and/or coverage8. Move QBs to hash to simulate different throws, change formation, WR routes, etc.
