Latin America Amateur Championship To Reach 140 Countries via Television Broadcast
3M, AT&T, IBM, Mercedes-Benz, Rolex, Samsung, UPS and Zurich Confirmed as Event Partners
LA ROMANA, Dominican Republic – Expanding its coverage across five continents, the second Latin America Amateur Cham-
pionship will be televised in 140 countries and reach millions of homes around the world, the event’s Founding Partners – the
Masters Tournament, The R&A and United States Golf Association (USGA) – announced today.
The championship will take place from January 14-17, 2016, with a 108-player field competing in the 72-hole stroke play event at
Casa de Campo’s prestigious Teeth of the Dog course. Built in the 1970’s, the course designed by Pete Dye is consistently
ranked one of the top golf courses across Latin America.
In addition to the contributions of the Founding Partners, the championship is supported by six Proud Partners – 3M, AT&T,
Mercedes-Benz, Samsung, UPS and Zurich – and two Scoring Partners, IBM and Rolex.
European Tour Productions will produce the high-definition broadcast, including two hours of live coverage on each of the four
competition days. The English-speaking commentary team will include Sean McDonough as host, Andy North as analyst, Dottie
Pepper and Billy Kratzert as on-course reporters and John Sutcliffe handling interviews.
The champion will receive an invitation to compete in the 2016 Masters at Augusta National Golf Club. In addition, the winner
and the runner(s)-up will be exempt into the final stages of qualifying for The Open and the U.S. Open Championship. Finally, the
champion will receive full exemptions into The Amateur Championship, U.S. Amateur Championship and any other USGA
amateur championship for which he is eligible.
With a host of broadcast partners around the globe, golf fans can follow the Latin America Amateur Championship through TV
channels covering key markets on five continents. Live broadcasts of all four rounds will be available across Africa, Asia, Europe,
North America and South America. The scheduled times for live broadcast each round are listed below, with all times local to
the Dominican Republic and Atlantic Standard
Time, which is one hour ahead of Eastern Standard Time:
First Round: Thursday, Jan. 14 – 3-5 p.m. (AST)
Second Round: Friday, Jan. 15 – 3-5 p.m. (AST)
Third Round: Saturday, Jan. 16 – 1-3 p.m. (AST)
Final Round: Sunday, Jan. 17 – 12:30-2:30 p.m. (AST)
ESPN will provide event coverage in this year’s host country, as well as throughout Latin America. Other broadcasters include
ESPN2 and ESPNews (United States), LeTV (China), TSN (Canada), SuperSport (Southern Africa), Fox Sports Asia (Asia), and
Eurosport (Europe). All of the coverage will also be streamed live on the official event website, www.LAACgolf.com

Designed by golf mastermind Pete Dye, and his son, P.B. Dye, the new practice space features 48,000 square feet of teeing room, 13 target areas, and a 400 yard driving range – allowing for more golfers to improve their game at a variety of distances. Located just south of the 10th and 11th holes of the legendary Teeth of the Dog course, the new golf facility includes a dedicated, short-game practice area with pristine bunkers, challenging grass mounds, and unforgiving depressions designed to simulate true course play on all three exemplary courses at Casa de Campo. In addition, the putting green is planted with fresh Paspalum grass, the same type of grass found on the courses – allowing for continued consistency from practice to play.

We have made some significant changes to our packages in the last few years. For example ladies golf will be complimentary and they will also be able to enjoy two complimentary 50 minutes classic massage at our Spa, all part of their packages. The tournament packages are for 6 days / 5 nights. If your team plans to extend their vacation so they can enjoy our resort and our three Pete Dye courses we are offering discounted extra night packages with complimentary golf.
The dates for the 42nd Annual CDC International Pro-Am is January 19-24. The format will be the following: the first 36 holes will be one best ball and the final 36 holes two best balls. Teams will be divided into flights according to the total team handicap. Prizes will be awarded in each flight for net and gross winners plus overall gross and net champions. The ladies will have daily events and players can sign up at CDC the night before the event. Pairings will be done according to the number of ladies in the event.
