GENERAL INFORMATION:The Vistawall PW 90 and PW 180 sliding mall fronts represent thelatest in product development technology complemented bydealer on-the-job input and experience. Proper use of these sys-tems will assure optimum results in erection and long term per-formance
Vistawall does not control the application nor selection of itsproduct configurations, sealant or glazing materials and assumesno responsibility thereof. It is the responsibility of the owner,architect and installer to make these selections in strict compli-ance with applicable laws and building codes.
PROTECTION AND STORAGE:
Handle the material carefully. Do not drop from the truck. Stackwith adequate separation so that the material will not rub togeth-er. Store material off the ground. Protect against the elementsand other construction hazards by using a well ventilated cover-ing. Remove material from package if it is wet or is located in adamp area.
CHECK MATERIAL:
Check all material upon arrival for quality and to assure againstshipping damage. Any visible damage must be noted on thefreight bill at the time of receipt. If a claim is required, then thereceiving party must process a claim with the freight company.
Completely check construction which will receive your materialsagainst contract documents. Notify the general contractor by let-ter of any discrepancies before proceeding with the work.Failure to do so constitutes acceptance of work by other trades.
Check shop drawings and installation instructions to becomefamiliar with the project. The shop drawings take precedenceand include specific details for the project. The installation
instructions are of a general nature and cover the most commonconditions. Due to varying job conditions, all sealants usedshould be approved by the sealant manufacturer to insure theywill function for conditions shown on instructions and shopdrawings. They must be compatible with all surfaces in whichadhesion is required including other sealant surfaces. Useprimers where directed by manufacturer of sealants. Be sure toproperly store sealants at recommended temperatures andcheck sealant for remainder of shelf life before using.
FIELD CONDITIONS:
• Not recommended for exterior use where door must be water-tight.
• All materials to be installed plumb, level, and true. Aluminum tobe placed in direct contact with the masonry or incompatiblematerials should be isolated with a heavy coat of zinc-chromateor bituminous paint.
• Coordinate protection of installed materials with general con-tractors and other trades.
CLEANING MATERIALS:
Cement, plaster, terrazzo, alkaline and acid based materials usedto clean masonry are very harmful to finishes and should beremoved with water and a mild soap immediately or permanentstaining will occur. A spot test is recommended before anycleaning agent is used.
MAINTENANCE:
Keep tracks free of debris, including areas where panels stack.Wax tracks periodically using wax stick. Actual waxing scheduledepends on door use factors, including traffic, season and cli-mate, but once a week in high traffic areas should keep panelsoperating smoothly.

B). CHECK OPENING FOR WIDTH AND HEIGHT.
C). CHECK JAMBS FOR PLUMB.
A). DOUBLE CHECK SHIPMENT BY 2. LAYING OUT TRACK & ACCESSORIES IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASSEMBLY PRINT AND ACCESSORY LISTS.
B). TAILS OF TOP SWITCH MUST FACE SAME DIRECTION AS FLOOR SWITCH.
A). LOCATE THE START OF SWITCH ON SHOP DRAWING OR DATA SHEET.3. B). ESTABLISH DIMENSION OF TRACK CENTER LINE TO LOCK JAMB ON SHOP
DRAWINGS OR DATA SHEET. C). INSTALLFLOOR SWITCH AND TRACKS STARTING AT THE“START OF SWITCH POINT AND LOCK JAMB. D).SET TOP OF TRACK WITH FINISHED FLOOR ANDLEVEL WITHIN 1/8” – USE TRANSIT OR WATERLEVEL AND LEVELING WEDGES. E). PACKQUICK DRYING CEMENT AROUND ALL TRACKANCHOR STRAPS AND SWITCHES. F). DO NOTSET PANELS UNTIL CEMENT IS HARD.
A). INSTALL TOP TRACK LEVEL AND4. PLUMB WITH BOTTOM TRACK.
B). USE A STORY POLE TO HOLD VERTICAL OPENING DIMENSION TO +1/4” TO –0”.

5. TO INSTALL PANELS, REMOVE THE TWO 4” SECTIONS OF THE TOP TRACK.
INSERT BACK TAB IN GROOVE ON SAME SIDE 6. AS SWITCH TAILS. INSERT TAB IN LEAD EDGEOF PANEL IN GROOVE OPPOSITE THE SWITCH TAILS. MAKE SURE TOP TABS ARE INSTALLED THE SAME WAY.
INSTALL PANELS AS NUMBERED ON SHOP 7. DRAWINGS OR DATA SHEET.
INSTALL PANELS WHERE 4” TRACK SECTIONS WERE REMOVED
WITH THE FIRST PANEL INSTALLED, CHECK SWITCH LAYOUT (IF APPLICABLE).
– PANEL SHOULD GO IN AND OUT OF SWITCH FREELY.
– PANEL IN SWITCH SHOULD BE PARALLEL TO THE STRAIGHT TRACK.
A). USE PRY BAR TO LIFT WEIGHT FROM ROLLER.8. B). INSERT WEDGE UNDER PANEL.C). REMOVE 6” INTERLOCK PIECED). BACK OFF SET SCREW.E). TO MOVE UPWARD, ROTATE BUSHING
CLOCKWISE WITH STANDARD SCREWDRIVER.RE-TIGHTEN SET SCREW.REPLACE 6” INTERLOCK PIECE
BOTTOM CLEARANCE IS PRE-SET AT 3/8” (ADJUSTABLE UP TO 1/2”). TOP CLEARANCE IS 1/4” TO 3/8”.
CHECK ALIGNMENT OF ALL COMPONENTS AND9. FILE ALL TRACK JOINTS SMOOTH. LUBRICATE GROOVES IN ALL TRACK AND SWITCHES WITH JOHNSON’S #140 WAX STICK PROVIDED IN ACCESSORY BAG.RECHECK FREE MOVEMENT OF ALL PANELS.

PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OF TAIL TRACK3. ATTACH STOP BY THREADING SCREW INTO HEX NUT INSERTED INTO TRACK.
ATTACH NEOPRENE BUMPER STOP IN OUTERMOST TRACK LANE, SET AGAINST THE ANGLE STOP.
