Goals for today

1. Show you how some great resources work.

2. Point out features of web sites so that you can bring them into your curriculum.

3. Give you web sites that you can bring into your class. (Some sites are great for many areas, so I am trying to give you more than one if possible. You can access the others from the other resources.)

This is for software and internet based resources.

The One software package to have

• Timeliner XETom Snyder Productions (

http://www.tomsnyder.com/timelinerxe/presenters.asp ) http://www.tomsnyder.com/timelinerxe/

• What does it do for the student?– Organizes data in a

longitudinal way– Combines webbing, time lining,

presentation and citation of resources in one product.

How can it be used in a class?

• Book reports• Time lines• Research• Writing• Storyboarding• Various Cycles and sequences• Goal Setting

Knowledge is put in your hand, you can, catch it and hold it tightly, toss it away, or use it and pass it on to others, the choice is yours.
