Wholesome Living Mastering Self – One Step at a Time

Most of us are squeezing 34hrs into a 24hr day just to go to sleep feeling as if we have had no time for “self”. As a mother of 3, I personally know the pressures of everyday life. Cooking, cleaning, running errands, keeping appointments… all while at times holding down a part-time or full-time job. Constantly putting off the “Workout Program” or nutritional plan or maybe even simple meditation or alone time continuously setting the big day for the 1st. On the 1st I will plan a workout program and stick to it! On the 1st I will organize a nutritional menu and stick to it! On the 1st I will set aside time to meditate daily or begin my dream business plan and (all together now)… STICK TO IT!!!! Well the 1st would come and go and before I knew it the 1st evolved itself into a New Year’s resolution, and thus the cycle continued. “If our hours are filled and yet we are no better off today than we were yesterday, then something is wrong. Are we making progress or are we just staying busy? Now lets be true to ourselves while answering the following question. Are you avoiding issues or tasks that may be difficult to tackle by keeping busy? If so, reevaluate your life’s agenda. Put “YOU” on the top of your to-do list. Its not being selfish at all, its being aware that the better and happier “YOU” are - the better others will be because of you. Become self-aware.

Unfortunately most of us are “self” trapped. Caught in our own private quarters silently and sometimes screaming restless on a beautiful bed made of nails blindly waking to a massive amount of wounds and great painstaking effort of denial. At times not even recognizing the discomfort we’ve become so comfortable with. “The real dangers in today’s world lie inside our comfort zones” Take a giant leap, better yet, soar outside of the old so familiar, drab, undesirable, never changing boring box. Why? Because life truly begins outside of your comfort zone. When you continue to do what you’ve always done, you will get what you have always had. Don’t let fear “keep” you. Remember “courage is not the absence of fear, but the conquering of fear…”. Be courageous. Never give up, never, never, never give up! Be it your dream career, dream mindset, dream lifestyle, dream scrapbook, dream soul-mate or even your dream “healthy” body. Never Never Never give up! For it is ALL for you! Persevere. Now if you choose but to listen to only one piece of advise let it be the piece that consist of LOVE. Love “ALL” you come in contact with and even those you don’t. Love those who are difficult to love or may appear undeserving for they need your love the most. Bring love into the lives of others simply by being love. “Be the difference you want to see in the world.” Dare to love. Well I know some of you may be thinking what does this have to do with fitness? My answer is… EVERYTHING. True health is balanced mind, body and soul wellness. So here’s to our journey of wholesome living together… -Angel
