This one-year program (late September through late June) will qualify you to work as an Assistant Teacher in an early learning classroom. Classes held on Wednesdays from 6-7:50pm and every other Saturday from 9am-12:50pm at Forest High School Center.

Child Development Associate Permit 18 quarter units in early

childhood education or child development.

ECE Associate’s Degree

Including 36 quarter units of ECE coursework plus

experience in the classroom.

ECE Bachelor’s Degree

Including 36 quarter units of ECE coursework plus ECE

teaching experience.

Assistant Teacher Enter into the field of ECE by

being part of a classroom teaching team that supports

children’s development.

Teacher Lead a classroom in

developmentally appropriate, engaging activities that

promote brain development.

Lead Teacher Design, plan and implement curriculum, create a positive learning environment and

mentor teaching peers.

Site Supervisor Set the center’s culture and

keep operations running smoothly. Manage, mentor

and train teaching staff.
