How Did We Determine Days/Hours?
Option Impact
Night Work • Residents • Hotel guests
Weekend Work • Residents • Restaurant Lunch • Tourists
Minimize Work Area • Safety of workers • Liability on non-standard plans • Increased work days • Steel plates on street longer
Reduce Eastbound Wilshire: 1 left turn lane, 1 thru lane
• Safety issue • Traffic backup on Wilshire
Day Work • Restaurant Lunch
SCE Phase 1, Alternative
July 14th thru Fall 2017* • Proposed work hours: 9am to 4pm Mon-Fri, Sunday 10am to 6pm
• Alternative work days:
– Left turn restrictions
– Sunday (10am-6pm) to Wednesday (9am-4pm)
– Wilshire reduced to two lanes each direction
