the COACh WrIGht FILeAssistnat coach Billy Wright joined the Western Illinois men’s basket-ball staff in 2008-09 after a 12-year coaching stint, including two years as a head coach, at the high school level in Indianapolis. As an assis-tant coach with the Fighting Leathernecks, Wright assisted with recruit-ing, scouting, game scheduling, player development, on-court coach-ing, and monitoring the academic progress of the players. Following the 2010-11 season, Wright was promoted to associate head coach.
