Who Are We?• Founded in 1950, PRHTA is a non-profit trade

association composed of more than 580 member organizations and businesses.

• We are committed to helping our members achieve their business objectives while protecting the jobs of more than 65,000 people currently employed by the tourism and hospitality industries in Puerto Rico.

PRHTA SynergiesThe Puerto Rico Hotel & Tourism Association has six solid decades of direct collaboration and alliances with both private and public entities. On the marketing front, our strongest government partner is the Puerto Rico Tourism Company (PRTC), which supports some of our largest and most successful programs.

Small Inns Brochure• The Small Inns brochure, is

a joint venture between PRHTA and PRTC. The brochure is distributed in all the promotional activities that the Puerto Rico Tourism Company holds in the US and the Caribbean.

Saborea Puerto Rico• Saborea PR is a key culinary event developed

by PRHTA and sponsored by PRTC, Rums of Puerto Rico and other entities. It has allowed us to position this landmark culinary event as one of the most important in the Caribbean, with local and international chefs, workshops, gastronomic surprises and entertainment for young and old. Since its launch in 2008, Saborea has allowed hundreds of thousands of attendees to enjoy Puerto Rico’s vast gastronomic landscape.

Puerto Rico Zest Brochure & Website• The Puerto Rico Zest program promotes

member restaurants that choose to offer specially priced, three-course meals to patrons who pay with their preferred MasterCard. Today, there are more than 30 restaurants participating throughout the island, including Vieques and Culebra. This lets visitors enjoy some of Puerto Rico’s best dishes and flavors at reduced prices.

• Puerto Rico Zest is a joint effort of the Puerto Rico Hotel & Tourism Association’s restaurant and marketing committees, with the support of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company and sponsored by MasterCard.

• Through various supplements backed by PRTC, we increase the exposure of our destination and tourism niches, and thus the growth of our members.

Destination Weddings Supplement• Once a year a special

promotional feature in Destination Weddings promotes Puerto Rico as a premier wedding destination.

Business Partners Review • This meeting is to discuss the

progress of our wholesale partners with our destination and to develop better strategies to improve business for all. Based on the findings and conclusions reached during this pow-wow, the PRTC coordinates collaborative partnerships with carefully chosen wholesalers and tour operators.

Road Shows• PRTC sponsors various

national and international road shows throughout the year in which PRHTA plays a major role. In this way, Puerto Rico is promoted as a destination while PRHTA hotels, restaurants and businesses take center stage.

San Juan Fun Card Program• Developed with the

assistance of PRTC and the Municipality of San Juan, this card offers great discounts to cruise ship visitors at participating restaurants, stores and other establishments.
