WELCOME!

This Years tv appeal raised:

2014 has been another very busy year for Children In Need. Once again I have been lucky enough to spend three days with my friends at Beacon Wealth Management Ltd.

This year not only did I get to go to my favourite schools and businesses, but I also managed to say a quick hello to a few residents at The Hillings Residential Home. Everyone was lovely and I really hope I can visit them again next year, and maybe even stop for a cup of tea and a biscuit.

Did you see me on TV Friday night (14th November)? I gave everyone I met during my time in and around St Neots a very special wave.

SPICE Childcare

TUESDAY 4TH NOVEMBER 2014

It was fantastic to finish my first day at the Priory Centre, St Neots where I had a chance to see Andrew Hansard the Town Mayor and meet his colleagues; Ed Rielly - Town Clerk and Debbie King - Events Co-Ordinator.

The Mayor was also kind enough to set off our cyclists on their epic 50 mile journey.

The first place I visited was SPICE Childcare. Some of my friends remembered me from last year and I had lots of cuddles.

SPICE Childcare raised £35 by doing lots of activites including; painting faces, making a collage of me, a cake sale and they even dressed up. Well Done!

I was looking forward to meeting new friends at Little Paxton Pre-School as I had never visited there before. Everyone was really excited to meet me. When I got there all the children were having fun and doing lots of different activities, some children even had their woolly hats and coats on as they were running around outside.

I hadn’t been to Little Paxton Primary School before either and was surprised at how big the school was and how many children wanted to see me!

While I was joining in with some PE classes (getting active for my TV appearance). Helen from the Hunts Post joined us and took lots of pictures of our Superhero poses. On Children In Need day they raised £213.00 by bringing in silver coins and having a competiton to cover the largest number of outlines of me.

Hillings Residential Home & Orchard Day Nursery

Priory Junior School

After a restful sleep my helpers Katie and Jess picked me up and told me our first visit of the day would be Priory Junior School. I was excited because every year they always go to a lot of effort and create a wonderful presentation for me to watch in assembly.

On Children In Need day the pupils dressed up in their pjamas and sold lots of yummy cakes.

This was my first visit to The Hillings Residential Home and my first time meeting Orchard Day Nursery who came along as well.

The Nursery regularly visit the residents and they do all sorts of activities together, this year I was lucky enough to meet them all and pose for some pictures.

I especially loved the crowns they had made for me which even had picture of me on the front. That made me feel very special.

In the run up to Children In Need the Nursery had a bake sale and a pyjama day. They raised a fantastic £130.20.

Samuel Pepys

I was so excited when my helper Katie told me we would be visiting Samuel Pepys school again this year, as all my friends are always happy to see me and I get lots of cuddles and high fives. We had a great time this year and visited everyone’s classroom, I even popped into the kitchen as I smelt some delicious cooking going on and felt my tummy rumbling! On Children In Need day everyone baked and sold all sorts of cakes and yummy treats.

St Mary’s CE School

Before my lunch my helpers Jess and Katie took me to another big school. The Headteacher, Ms Overs, kindly welcomed us into the school and showed us around all of the classrooms.

Each class were working very quietly on their Children In Need projects. Some were writing poems, others were drawing their superheros and one class had even watched a video about the superhero journey. On Children In Need day they raised £138.50 by dressing up as superheroes!

After my lunch at the Beacon office in Kimbolton, we popped round the corner to Kimbolton Primary Academy.

While I was waiting to see all the children, I was feeling in a silly mood so I practiced my dance moves until I realised my helper Jess was taking pictures!

I even got to see my friends from PuddleDucks Nursery again this year.

On Children In Need day they brought in their 1ps and 2ps to fill up as many jars as possible and raised over £140! Fantastic!

Crosshall Infant Academy

I was excited to visit Crosshall Infant Academy again this year as there is always lots of activities going on.

Jess even told me that this was where she went to school when she was younger.

All the children couldn’t wait to give me a cuddle. On Children In Need day itself everyone came in dressed as their superheros.

Crosshall Kids Club

After a busy day my final stop for Wednesday was to Crosshall Kids Club, there is always lots of energy and excitement when I visit.

Although I had met some of the children already that day, they were still very excited to see me!

Many children even brought some pennies to put in my bucket.

THURSDAY 6TH NOVEMBER 2014

For my final day with Beacon Wealth Management Ltd, our day started at Winhills Primary School.

I made my way to the Gems and Little Gems classrooms, where everyone ran out to see me and gave me a big hug.

On Children In Need day everyone at Winhills wore odd socks and slippers, I bet they wouldn’t fit my big feet!

We then visited Middlefield Primary Academy where I met lots of children.

It was my first visit to Roundhouse Community Primary School and I couldn’t wait to meet some new friends.

Everybody was waiting very patiently for me and cheered when I walked into assembly.

On Children In Need day Roundhouse pupils bought my Pudsey wristbands and had a colouring competition, by doing this they raised £351.22!

Priory Park Playgroup

I was excited to see all my friends at Priory Park Playgroup, after we had lots of pictures everyone in the room came and gave me a high five and a big hug.

The children had a wonderful time on the day of Children In Need, they made a coin cascade and had to spin the coins into a bucket with my picture on! They raised £108.89!

Priory Park Infant School

This year I couldn’t wait to see what Priory Park Infants School had in store for me. Last year we did a bake off, in assembly!

This time I had all the classes waiting in assembly and special superheroes helping everyone BE A HERO for Children In Need. The superheroes even showed me their superhero moves!

The Beacon Team

I finally made it back to the Beacon office after a busy couple of days. The team had dressed up in their superhero costumes to surprise me as well! We had some yummy cakes made by the Beacon team ready for us to sell on Kimbolton High Street. They were in full superhero mode and even showed me their superhero actions.

Kimbolton High Street

I was glad the weather was nice when I visited Kimbolton High Street so my big feet didn’t get wet! My first visit was to Robinson’s Budgens, this shop wasn’t even here last time I was in Kimbolton, what a surprise. We then popped next door to Robinson’s garage who bought three yummy cakes from my helper Rachel.

I then popped into Olivers, they were very excited to see me and wanted some pictures.

I also visited Buttercups, Truffles & Twine, and Dixies Deli.

My friends at Peter Lane bought some delicious chocolate cake from my helper Rachel and had already sponsored Beacon for their 50 mile bike ride.
