Retired Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Chief Carson Tranquille is running for City Council to continue his long history of public service to the resident’s in District 2. As a former Zone Commander and Patrol Division Chief for the area and current community leader, Chief Carson knows the district and its residents well.

• Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Police Division Chief -7 years - led the budgeting, strategic planningand patrol functions of several JSO divisions

• Police Assistant Division Chief - 12 years - led JSO areas and departments including:

§ Economic Crime Unit, Gang Unit, Bomb Squad, Hostage Negotiator Unit, Homeland SecurityUnit, Crime Scene Unit, Auto Burglary Unit and many others

• Zone Commander for Zone 2 - supervised the overall police functions of the Zone 2 with apopulation of more than 200,000 citizens. The zone was staffed with approximately 190 officers.
