Amendments to Unified Land Development Code Required

Public School Facilities Element Policy 2.1.2 requires amending land development regulations to include provisions for public school concurrency management.

Updated Interlocal Agreement for Public School Facility Planning, Section 8.2.1 requires local governments to adopt land development regulations consistent with its comprehensive plan, Florida Statues and the Interlocal Agreement.

Staff Recommendation

1.Land Development Regulation Commission find proposed amendments to Chapter 407, Article 12 of the Unified Land Development Code consistent with the Comprehensive Plan;

2.Board of County Commissioners approve the proposed Ordinance implementing school concurrency in unincorporated Alachua County.
