About the FestivalThe Hong Kong International Young Readers Festival features an exciting international and local line up of children’s authors. Targeted at children up to 14 years of age, we invite you to experience the joy of reading, of seeing the printed word dramatised in memorable performances, and of meeting children’s authors from around the world. The Festival also includes a schools programme with meet-the-author sessions and workshops and a public programme with talks for parents and teachers, creative writing workshops and many more interesting events.

The Festival is organised and managed by Hong Kong International Literary Festival Limited, a registered company limited by guarantee that is run as a not-for-pro�t organisation. We receive support from companies, grants, consulates, community partners and small businesses. Individual donations and Friends of the Festival membership fees are also signi�cant sources of income.

Performance WorkshopLuka Lesson is committed to the tradition of performance poetry, and his workshops are fun, challenging and expertly executed. This workshop focuses on gently breaking down fears of performance, �nding the vocal range of each partici-pant and turning the written word into an embodied piece of literature. Memorisa-tion techniques are also shared as are some of Luka's own poems.
