Project Introduction WIS 29 is a primary route in

Wisconsin with statewide and national importance.

The purpose of the proposed project is to improve highway safety and geometric deficiencies associated with two access points to WIS 29 west of WIS 107.

Completed additional agency coordination. Performed additional traffic studies. Modified alternatives to

minimize impacts to wetlands. Added alternative E-14. Assessed alternatives and

selected three for further evaluation.

Traffic Volumes

Counts completed by local citizens summer 2014 and WisDOT fall 2014.

Number of vehicles entering and leaving the plant and the quarry ranged from approximately 350 to 850 vehicles per day.

Traffic projections are being determined based on these updated values.
