PUBLIC HEALTH STRATEGISTDESCRIPTION: Catawba County Public Health is seeking a highly motivated, collaborative, and strategic leader with a passion for improving and protecting the health of our community. This senior level position will oversee and direct all aspects of organizational Strategic Planning, Strategic Communications, Health Promotion and Strategy (including a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, LiveWell Catawba, a collaborative community health improvement organization), Quality Improvement/Evaluation, and Data Analysis. You will supervise all related staff and serve as a member of the Public Health Leadership Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:• Direct operations of the Health Promotion and Strategy section, including administrative oversight, strategic oversight of LiveWell

Catawba, and assurance of collection and analysis of health data for community and agency• Development and management of strategic planning and operations • Development and management of comprehensive quality improvement and evaluation program• Direct the development and implementation of an agency-wide Strategic Communications plan

QUALIFICATIONS: • Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Education, Health Administration, Communications, or a related degree and 4 years of

experience in public health administration or a related field; OR • Four year degree in Public Health, Health Education, Health Administration, Communications, or related field and a minimum of

five years of public health administration, or a related field ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record• High level of motivation, initiative, and enthusiasm with a strong work ethic• Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills with experience in partnership development and team building • Excellent oral and written communication as well as group facilitation skills • Advanced strategic planning and evaluation skills• Project management experience• Strong time management, organizational and prioritization skills• Sound decision-making ability and judgment• Solid data analysis abilities • This position is considered light work, lifting up to 20 pounds

SALARY RANGE: $62,397.96 -$102,956.64 EXPECTED HIRING RANGE: $62,397.96-$78,000 (DOQ)
