At dawn of August 4th, Payman Qaneh Kohneh Shahri was executed in Salmas

City while the streets leading to the gallows were closed and his family clashed

with the agents and were beaten, reported Salmas Human Rights Club.

Mr. Kohneh Shahri was accused of being an accomplice in the murder of anotherAzari citizen in 2009.

One of his relatives said that Mr. Kohneh Shahri had to confess to the act under

torture, at the time of his arrest at the city s detective bureau, as a result of which

Khozestan Provinces assistant judiciary, Judge Al i Eftekhari, announced 6

moral offenders who had harassed 10 women in front of their husbands were

executed at Ahwaz Karoon Prison.

Pointing to the trial of these culpri ts at a penal court the judge stated: A fter the

culprits confessed to the crime and the investigations were complete, the casewas sent to Khozestan Provinces penal court. On the directives of the head of

judiciary an especial branch studied the case and the six members of this band

were condemned to death.

The decree was approved at country s Supreme Court. The culpri ts were hanged
