DESCRIPTION

PTSD is a psychological disorder which a person may face as the aftermath of tragedies like natural disaster, terrorist attack, sexual assault, wartime experiences etc. Generally, women are twice as prone to men when it comes to PTSD. Symptoms include nightmares related to such traumatic events, feelings of despair and suicidal tendencies. Studies have shown how various therapies may alleviate the symptoms by understanding the history of the patient. While exposure therapy and group therapy may give more confidence to the patient by eliminating their fear, somatic therapy helps them by giving moments of mental relaxation. There are several ways of fighting this disorder and ward off negative effects of any such mental trauma. Click here to read more about combating PTSD: http://www.therapytribe.com
