This is in reference to your letter dtd. 04.04.13 inviting
comment on a paper submitted by
Dr. (Mrs.) Subrata B. Gogoi for presentation at an International
Conf. on Earth Science and
Climate Change in Los Angeles, USA. In this regard the following
comments are made:
i) The paper is based on the findings of Dr. (Mrs.) S. B. Gogois
own work.ii) It addresses the basic requirements to qualify for
scientific publications.iii) Thepaper under the title Effluent as
Surfactant for Enhanced Oil Recovery has
rightly shown the use of paper mill effluent as candidate for
chemical EOR. It seems
to be a novel finding.
In view of all this, I have no objection to recommend her
presentation at the conference.

4. Quality and Standard of the paper to be presented:The paper
that has been accepted for oral presentation on a title, Effluent
as surfactant for
enhanced oil recovery, contains the research findings on the
characteristics of the anionic
surfactant, a chemical that is found useful as an effluent for
the EOR process. It appears that thefinding is certainly a new and
innovative approach. The text has been prepared in a nice
manner
with necessary illustrations. In short, the quality of the paper
is good.
