DESCRIPTION

Pollard Thomas Edwards architects presents the latest in our series of calendars. Each year we seek a new way of looking at our work. In 2011 we recorded end-users, residents and visitors within the buildings and spaces we had designed. Last year we showed our completed architectural work in the form of graphic logos or computer desktop icons. This year we capture the spirit of an early nineteeth-century London in the grips of Kaleidoscopism - a spectacular way of seeing everyday objects through a dynamic optical device. Here, as the Kaleidoscopic transformation comes to rest, familiar components such as balconies, cladding, chimneys or the surrounding landscape can be picked out to create a graphic pattern from the original image.
