Siemens Cilegon Factory is a world-class competence center for large-steel fabrication of components for power plants worldwide. It is located in Cilegon, Banten, a province of Indone-sia about 110 km west of Indonesia’s capital Jakarta. The factory has a total area of 43,000 sqm with 22,000 sqm dedicated for production facilities.

25 years of experience1987–1989 Foundation of Siemens Cilegon Factory, inauguration on February 28th, 1989.

1989–2000 Fabrication of steam turbine components, local support for service and maintenance work.

2000–2006 Development into a com-petence center of large-steel fabrica-tion components (LSF).

2006–2013 Machining and final assembly of complete steam turbine casings and combustion chambers. Investment into state-of-the-art machining facilities.

2014–present Implementation of Siemens Production System (lean production), portfolio extension e.g. assembly of small industrial turbines and round condenser.

Highlights – orders for Cilegon from EgyptIn 2015 Siemens AG has signed the biggest contract ever in its history with an amount of eight billion EURO with the Egypt Government.

Siemens Cilegon will contribute to this project by supplying steam turbine outer casings, blade rings and con-denser resulting in a volume of 300,000 working hours for this project only.
