How is First Impression portrayed?

● The second Claudia laid her eyes on the guy sitting across her, she thought that he was really handsome.

● The impression occurs based on what she observed. (eg. the guy was wearing a collared shirt and glasses.)

Definition:A widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or

idea of a particular type of person or thing.

How is Stereotype portrayed?

● When Claudia saw the guy she likes holding a book in his hand, she instantly thought that he was studious.

● Yet, there is no vivid obviousness to justify that he is studious.

● Claudia stereotyped him as a studious person just because she saw him holding a book in his hands.

Definition:A process of reciprocal stimulation or response

between two or more people. It develops competition, interaction, influences social roles and

status and people for social relationships.

How is Social Interaction portrayed?

● Initially, Claudia and Nabila were having a study session.

● Suddenly, Claudia slams and closes her book. She started having a tantrum and complains to Nabila, because she was upset of being single for 19 years.

● Nabila comforted her and gave her advices for her to be able to calm down.

Definition:A persuasive message that attempts to arouse fear

in order to divert behavior through the threat of impending danger or harm.

How is Fear-Based Appeal portrayed?

● After Claudia saw the good looking guy, Nabila told her to go over to him but Claudia was afraid. Hence, Nabila told her that if she don’t go over him, she might be forever alone with no boyfriend.

● Finally, Claudia was persuaded by Nabila and she attempted to walk up to him.

● Claudia was afraid of being alone forever hence she was successfully persuaded by Nabila.

● The good looking guy sat down on his table and started making a conversation with another guy that was seated in front of him.

● They then started to hold hands and showed more affection towards each other.

● They held hands in public.
