students. These words are introduced in the student text. Some of these words will be used in the
CRTs. Every effort has been made to make the readability of each CRT appropriate for the grade levelat which the assessment was written. If needed, teachers are allowed to assist students with reading and
comprehending difficult words or phrases they may encounter during the CRT assessment. The
following are guidelines for providing assistance.
