Windows 10 Tips and Tricks

When your computer turns on it will stay at this screen until you hit enter or click your mouse:

To find your folders, shared drive, etc: Windows menu>file explorer.

To save apps to your taskbar: Windows menu>find app and right click>more>pin to taskbar.

To save apps to “Common Application” area (large icons) of Windows menu: Windows menu>find app and right click>pin to start.

Log on/off is called “Sign Out”. To sign out: Windows menu>image of person>sign out.

Sleep mode – devices go to sleep to save battery power. To wake up: press power button.

Access to Windows Store – District apps can be installed. To browse/install a Windows app: Windows menu>find “store” app in list>open app>choose Plainfield School District 202 from drop down menu>find app and follow on screen prompts.
