Psalm 25: 1-10 This is a Psalm of longing, desiring, of pleading for more of God and less of us. God we don’t want some of you but all of you. We don’t want a taste but the whole meal. We want your life to be our life…please lead and teach us in your ways oh God. 1. Here we see that the soul that has been set free by Jesus longs to fly to its Creator or as Charles Spurgeon wrote, “True prayer may be described as the soul rising from earth to have fellowship with heaven; it is taking a journey upon Jacob’s ladder, leaving the cares and fears at the foot, and meeting with a covenant God at the top.”. 2. How is faith like an anchor for our souls? What storms in your life has God faithfully seen you through? “Faith is the cable which binds our boat to the shore, and by pulling at it we draw ourselves to land; faith unites us to God and then draws us near to him.” Charles Spurgeon 3. God will always deal with us according to His covenant love for us. We will never find God to be mistreating, ignoring, untrue or unkind to us. Because of that truth how does that empower the request and the prayer in verse 5?
