Background & Objetive01

Peerplays Grants is a program that offers funding for contributions 

to both the Peerplays platform and innovative projects based  

on Peerplays.

To provide developers 

interested in contributing to 

the Peerplays ecosystem

the opportunity to spend 

significant time on their 

project, in order to bring it

to completion

To extend the codebase with 

useful components that are 

not the main focus

of PBSA, but which would be 

very valuable to users of 

Peerplays generally

To increase our outreach to 

other communities and the 

general public

The goals are threefold:

Although Peerplays Grants does not bias against applications from businesses or 

developers who may wish to profit from the fruits of Peerplays Grants-funded 

projects, Peerplays Grants should NOT be considered a funding platform for new 

business endeavors. Only those applicants creating an open source public project 

- for public benefit - will be considered.

Peerplays Grants is not

Bounty program

It is NOT a bounty program. We 

do not seek to describe specific 

goals in advance nor do we wish 

to attribute value to them.

Seed or venture capital

It is NOT a venture capital 

program. We will not invest in 

projects which do not have 

ongoing development, nor will we 

treat grants as a DApp seed 

funding program.

Battle royale, roleplaying, 

first-person. Don’t forget 

about in-game trading, 

competitions, point collection, 

profile building, and more.

Collectibles

From baseball cards to 

digital pets. If you can 

collect it online,  blockchain 

probably makes it better 

(i.e. safer!).

What is the Goal of Peerplays Grants?

To incentivize individual developers 

and/or organizations to work on 

impactful projects that will benefit the 

Peerplays blockchain and all its current 

and future users.

Who owns the intellectual property (IP) 

rights to created products?

Creators will determine the control of their 

product(s) and IP.

What are the selection criteria for the 

Grants?

Grants are disbursed on a case by case 

basis, with preference given to projects 

with the greatest chance at “mass 

success” on the Peerplays blockchain. 

Technical competence of the individual 

and/or team involved will also be a 

considered factor.

What outcome do we expect from grant

recipients?

Recipients will be asked (and expected) to

place the applications source code within 

the github.com/peerplays-network.Where applicable, a tutorial and 

demonstration are also required.

Can I qualify if I have already started 

building solutions related to the 

announced cases?

Yes you can. The various rewards of

Peerplays Grants are available for all 

stages of development.

Can I apply as a private individual?

Yes, the Peerplays Grants program is 

open to everyone. Individuals, teams, 

or organizations.

I didn’t get accepted. Can I re-apply?

Sure! We’d be happy to review your 

updated application when the time is right.

Are there any restrictions on 

jurisdictions?

Nope. The decentralized nature of 

Peerplays means there are no limitations 

on jurisdictions.

What happens after the successful 

execution of a task under the grant 

program? Will i be able to work further 

on the solution?

Once the conditions of your grant have 

been met, PBSA will continue to support 

you and your creation for the benefit of 

the Peerplays community.
