This workshop provides delegates with an overview of how social media works and how the procurement profession can leverage social media to realise available benefits.

The workshop gives an overview of the current social media landscape to provide a context for the presentation, provides insights on how social media can drive innovation and efficiency within an organisation and across a supply chain.

The workshop will then cover the five ways that procurement should be using social media:

Gather Marketing Intelligence and Monitor Supply Chains Drive Stakeholder Engagement Be an Employer of Choice Professional Development Build your Personal Brand

It will cover some of the available platforms and their benefits, as well as providing some real world examples of how social media is being used effectively. Finally, there is a short section on Procurious before finishing with some words of advice for users on social media.

Following the workshop there will be a BBQ buffet and a chance to network.

Speaker information, please complete for each individual speakerEuan Granger, Partnerships Manager, Procurious

I started out in Procurement in 2008 and spent 5 years working for BAE Systems managing high value contracts and working in cross-functional teams, before moving to Melbourne where I spent a year working as a procurement consultant. During that time I worked on projects for a number of high-profile clients, assisting them with improving process efficiency, streamlining procurement policies and delivering on site training on contract and supplier relationship management. I now work for Procurious, connecting with procurement and supply chain professionals from around the world, with the aim of equipping people with the skills to showcase the value procurement can bring to an organisation. In 2013 I completed an MSc and became MCIPS accredited.
