DISTAL PLATE PLACEMENT

• Plate head sits 15mm distal to the rotator cuff to avoid acromial impingement• Plate shaft sits slightly anterior on the bone, lateral to the bicipital groove in order to reduce the need for deltoid elevation

CANNULATED SCREW FIXATION

• 3.7mm cannulated screws can be used in the head of the 3.5mm LCP Proximal Humerus Plate & 3.5mm LCP Pertiarticular Plate

• The screws are self-drilling & self tapping eliminating need for pre- drilling & tapping preserving much of the bone in the humeral head

• The screws can be inserted over the k-wire, holding the reduction and giving the surgeon control over the trajectory of the screw

MultiLoc® HUMERAL NAILS

ENTRY POINT

• Straight nail designed specifically for antegrade placement to anchor in strong subchondral bone and avoid potential insertion through fracture site

• Entry point designed to be medial to sulcus between head and greater tuberosity which preserves hypovascular region where the rotator cuff inserts

PROXIMAL FIXATION

• 4 MultiLoc screws featuring screw-in-screw technology allows multiple points of fixation and provides improved stability in osteopenic bone. The 3.5 mm locking screw can be inserted through the head of the MultiLoc screws and targets the posteromedial region with strong bone mineral density

• The ascending calcar screw & the 3.5mm screw-in-screw options are designed to increase resistance to head migration, varus deformation & greater tuberosity rotation

• Blunt screw tips designed to reduce the risk of secondary perforation

• 4 suture holes per MultiLoc screw head are designed to facilitate rotator cuff management

DISTAL LOCKING

• Short Nail - 2 targeted distal locking screws in multiple planes to reduce implant toggling

• Long Nail - All 3 distal screws designed to avoid vascular structures, located in two different planes designed to reduce implant toggling and increase stability of the osteosynthesis.

• Long Nail: 2 anatomic AP screws take into account retroversion of humeral head, designed to facilitate free hand locking and minimize the potential for malrotation of distal fragment

SUTURE COLLAR

• The GLOBAL UNITE Fracture Epiphysis suture collar has 12 suture holes to accommodate anatomic approximation of a wide range of proximal humeral fracture patterns.

LATERAL SUTURE HOLES

• Additional lateral fixation options to stabilize tuberosities and promote healing of the greater and lesser tuberosity fragments.

POROUS COATING

• Porous structure supports biological fixation of cancellous bone to support long term fixation between the interface of the implant and bone.

The GLOBAL UNITE® Platform Shoulder System provides treatment options for a wide range of shoulder pathologies. The Reverse Fracture device is specifically designed to provide a Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty surgical option for a robust repair of complex proximal humeral fracture in patients with a grossly deficient rotator cuff to restore function of the joint by promoting healing of the tuberosity fragments to help unite the fracture.

The GLOBAL UNITE Fracture Epiphysis has features, such as a superior suture collar, additional lateral and cerclage suture options, and POROCOAT® Porous Coating, that may improve anatomical placement and healing of the proximal humeral fracture fragments.
