SaskatchewanRugbyisproudtocelebrateoursuccessstoriesandissuesProvincialRecognitionAwards.OneoftheseawardsisanannualawardentitledBUILDERoftheYEARAWARD.NominationswillbesolicitedthroughtheSaskRugbywebsitewithadownloadablenominationformoronlinesubmission.Thefollowingpeopleareeligibletobeconsideredforthisrecognition.

• Anymemberof the rugbycommunity thathas shownexemplary service to their rugbyclub, teamorunion

• Thenomineecannothavebeenreimbursedforanyoralloftheirtimespentvolunteering• Volunteers thatwere previously recognizedwith a RugbyCanadaCertificate requested by their local

clubarestilleligibleforthisawardaswellNomineesmaybebut arenot limited tobeing registeredwith the SaskatchewanRugbyUnion in the yearoftheir nomination. This would allow parents of their child’s rugby team, spouses, etc. to be considered fornominationaswell.NominationsforthisawardwillbesolicitedthroughtheSaskatchewanRugbyUnionwebsiteandinclude:

• Detailsaboutthenominatedperson’scontributiontothesportofrugbywithafocusofattentionupontheir“recent”contribution.

• Detailsoftheoutcomesthatcanbeattributedtothisperson’scontribution.• Informationonhowthisperson’scontributionhasassistedtheircommunity.

Guidelines

• Theawardrecipientmustagreetohavehisorhernameandphotographpublicized. He/shemustbepreparedtopromotetheawardasrequested.

• Allnominationsmustbeaccompaniedbythenamesoftwopeoplewhocanreportontheperson’sabilitytomeettheselectioncriteria.

• NominationsmaycomefromanyindividualregisteredwiththeSaskatchewanRugbyUnion,acluborsub-unionoftheSaskatchewanRugbyUnion.

SelectionCriteria• Madeapositiveimpactthroughtheirvolunteerstatustothesportofrugby,locally,provinciallyand/or

nationally• Theircontributionservesasamodeltoinspireotherstocontributevolunteertimetohelpimprovethe

sportofrugbyaswellVolunteerRecognitionSelectionCommitteeTheselectioncommitteewillconsistof:5people

ProvincialRecognitionAward

COACHoftheYEARAWARD

SaskatchewanRugbyisproudtocelebrateoursuccessstoriesandissuesProvincialRecognitionAwards.One of these awards is an annual award entitled COACH of the YEAR AWARD. Nominees must beregisteredwith the SaskatchewanRugbyUnion in the year of their nomination. Nominationswill besolicitedthroughtheSaskRugbywebsitewithadownloadablenominationformoraonlinesubmissionthatincludes:

• Details about the nominated person’s contribution to Rugby in Saskatchewanwith a focus ofattentionupontheir“recent”contribution.

• Theircoachingrole(s)andtheircontributiontothesportinthisrole.• Detailsoftheoutcomesthatcanbeattributedtothisperson’scontribution.• Informationonhowthisperson’scontributionhasassistedtheircommunity.

Guidelines

• Theaward recipientmust agree tohavehis or hernameandphotographpublicized. He/shemustbepreparedtopromotetheawardasrequested.

• All nominations must be accompanied by the names of two people who can report on theperson’s ability tomeet the selection criteria. These individualsmustbeable to comment indetailupontheapplicant’sinvolvementincoaching.

• NominationsmaycomefromanyindividualregisteredwiththeSaskatchewanRugbyUnionoracluborsub-unionofSaskatchewan.

SelectionCriteria

• Demonstratedexperiencethatidentifiesskills,knowledgeandattributesofaleaderofcoach.• A professional attitude and a professional approach to performing as a coach despite the

amateurstatusoftherole.• A demonstrated history of continuous personal development as a coach by attendance at

workshops,seminars,clinics,etc.• Ahistoryofactingasamentorofothercoaches.• AmbassadorialqualitiesthatwillenhancetheimageoftheSaskatchewanRugbyUnionandthe

MATCHOFFICIALoftheYEARAWARD

SaskatchewanRugbyisproudtocelebrateoursuccessstoriesandissuesProvincialRecognitionAwards.OneoftheseawardsisanannualawardentitledMATCHOFFICIALoftheYEARAWARD.NomineesmustberegisteredwiththeSaskatchewanRugbyUnionintheyearoftheirnomination.Nominationmustincludethefollowinginformation:

• Detailsaboutthenominatedperson’scontributiontoSaskatchewanRugbyUnionwithafocusofattentionupontheir“recent”contribution.

• TheirMatchOfficialrole(s)andtheircontributiontothesportinthis(these)role(s).• Detailsoftheoutcomesthatcanbeattributedtothisperson’scontribution.• Informationonhowthisperson’scontributionhasassistedSaskatchewanRugbyUnion.

• Demonstrated experience that identifies skills, knowledge and attributes of a leader ofMatchOfficials.

• AprofessionalattitudeandaprofessionalapproachtoperformingasaMatchOfficialdespitetheamateurstatusoftherole.

• AdemonstratedhistoryofcontinuouspersonaldevelopmentasaMatchOfficialdemonstratedbyattendanceatworkshops,seminars,clinics,etc.

• AhistoryofactingasamentorofotherMatchOfficials.• Ambassadorialqualities thatwillenhance the imageof theSaskatchewanRugbyUnionand the

MatchOfficialsofthisprovince.MatchOfficialRecognitionSelectionCommittee:Theselectioncommitteewillconsistof5people.

ProvincialRecognitionAward

PLAYERoftheYEARAWARDSaskatchewanRugbyisproudtocelebrateoursuccessstoriesandissuesProvincialRecognitionAwards.OneoftheseawardsisanannualawardentitledPLAYERoftheYEARAWARD.NomineesmustberegisteredwiththeSaskatchewanRugbyUnionintheyearoftheirnomination.Therewillbefourcategories:SeniorWomen,SeniorMen,YoungMaleandYoungFemale.AnyYoungMaleorFemaleoftheSaskatchewanRugbyUnion’sProvincialAgeGradeProgramiseligibleonly.A nomination form can be downloaded through the Saskatchewan Rugby Union website and mustincludethefollowinginformation:

• Details about the nominated person’s contribution to the Saskatchewan Rugby Union with afocusofattentionupontheir“recent”contribution.

• Theirrole(s)andtheircontributiontothesportinthis(these)role(s).• Detailsoftheoutcomesthatcanbeattributedtothisperson’scontribution.• Informationonhowthisperson’scontributionhasassistedtheircommunity.

• A demonstrated commitment to continuous personal development as a member of theSaskatchewanRugbyUnion.

• Ahistoryofactingasamentortootherplayers.• AmbassadorialqualitiesthatwillenhancetheimageoftheSaskatchewanRugbyUnionandthe

sportofrugbyinthisprovince.
