Pipe-in-HoleThis unique warning feature can prevent drill component damage caused by tramming while drill pipe is still in the hole.

Current Shift and Production StatisticsThe DEI accumulates shift and overall production information including: Total Number of Holes, Total Depth, Total Drill Time, Average Hole Depth, Average ROP, and Average Hole Drilling Times

Drill Leveling and Mast AngleAn optional dual axis inclinometer can be added to the DEI Plus. This will assist the operator in accurately leveling the drill and insuring the mast is at the speci� ed angle for cast blasting.

The DEI Plus uses the latest in display technology to provide an extremely rugged, sunlight-readable, crisp display. The DEI Plus design technology allows it to store data and conduct extensive on-board calculations. The system has built-in diagnostics and troubleshooting to provide ease of use and training.

DEI PLUS FEATURES

The DEI-X is the latest addition to Thunderbird’s family of drill monitors for rotary blasthole drills. It is truly a revolutionary product with features and capability unmatched in the industry. These include Wi-Fi connections to the mine of� ce, displaying drill pattern maps to the operator, strata-logging, cameras, and logging hole position with LPGPS. The DEI-X platform can also be readily upgraded to a Drill Navigation system for those mines that may require a navigation system at some point in the future.

With the introduction of Thunderbird’s DEI+NAV HPGPS Guidance system, a new standard for blasthole drill instrumentation has been established. The DEI+NAV has been designed from the ground up by a team that pioneered the development of the � rst drill monitoring and GPS navigation systems. This experience has allowed the team to design a lower cost system with many unique features not available in competitive systems which will provide its mining customers with a higher rate of return on their investment.
