Dear Unsure Buyer,
I’d like to give John McDermott and Shuffleboard Federation my highest recommendation. Probably the best way to do so is to give a brief history of my experience buying and taking delivery of an amazing table (pictured below):
When I knew I wanted to buy a table, I first contacted a local retailer in Pennsylvania (via email). I asked them for information on their high-end tables. Three days later I got a one line e-mail response: “Check our website, all options are there.” As an admitted customer service nut, this was unacceptable.
A brief Google search uncovered Shuffleboard Federation. I sent them a similar request for information. About an hour later, at 10p at night, I got back a long, friendly, detailed email from John talking about his company, his history, the table options, and more. After a couple more emails, that night I mentioned to John that I wasn’t sure which table I’d buy, but I was sure I’d be buying it from him.
It couldn’t have been a better decision. John was incredibly helpful with table selection and design (we got a Big Sky table which required selection of slabs of wood to form the sides and legs).
As we neared delivery, John assembled the team that would deliver and install the table – a combination of 2 guys from Michigan to escort the table to Pennsylvania and 3 local installers. 5 people? Definitely needed. The Big Sky table is massively heavy.
The installers were prompt, efficient, and professional. The local guys shared business cards should I need help with the table as it settles into its space and gets some play.
From start to end my experience with Shuffleboard Federation has been an absolutely perfect purchase experience. The table wasn’t cheap, but in this case I got what I paid for, and more.

We are very pleased with the custom 22’ Champion table we purchased from John McDermott at Shuffleboardfederation.com. We visited 3 stores in the KC area to understand the various brands and prices. We were all set to move forward with a table we had seen locally but we called John to confer/compare. So glad we did. He was able to direct us to a superior‐quality table in a style we preferred over the local store’s table and he beat the local store’s price.
We wanted a custom logo for our table (a Kansas Jayhawk) and John promptly coordinated approval from the licensing office at KU. We ordered after the deadline for Christmas delivery and had resigned ourselves to delivery in January but John even helped to get our delivery expedited in time for Christmas.
Our installation experience was very positive as well. Our installers, Mark and his cohort John, both avid shuffle board players (Mark is pro‐rated), worked hard to ensure our table was level and the playing surface tuned for optimal play. We are new to shuffleboard so we have appreciated the friendly advice from john and our installation team about how to care for the board, rules, strategy, accessories, etc.
Our bottom‐line advice to anyone considering a new shuffleboard table: buy one of the premium brands sold at Shuffleboardfederation.com, get the longest table your room will accommodate and don’t’ buy anywhere else until you speak with John. He is THE expert you want in your corner. You don’t want any regrets when making a major purchase like this. We have none. John’s product, pricing and customer service are exceptional!

To Whom It May Concern: In researching the purchase of a shuffleboard table, I came across The Shuffleboard Federation’s web site, and called the company. I spoke at length to company owner, John McDermott, and was impressed with the depth of his knowledge, as well as his passion for his work. He asked plenty of questions in order to understand my likes/wants, as well as to gain some insight into where the table was going, and the other furnishings and aesthetics of the space. Based on our conversation, he recommended an Heirloom Legacy, and followed up promptly by sending me a full complement of high quality pictures, along with a very impressive collection of testimonials from previous customers. Admittedly, I was a little bit gun shy, given the pricing on the Heirloom brand, relative to other options. I decided to go with John’s recommendation, based on their reputation, and because John assured me that they would expedite the production of my table and deliver it in time for my wife’s 50th birthday party. We ended up going with a solid Mahogany Heirloom Legacy, and had it personalized with our company logo. Long story short, they delivered on every promise and truly exceeded our expectations. The quality of the table itself was terrific, and the installation was very professionally done, right on schedule, by people that were very obviously experts. The service both before and after the sale has been exceptional, and I would not hesitate to recommend The Shuffleboard Federation to anyone who is in the market for a shuffleboard table. Dear John, I wanted to thank you for making the purchase and delivery of my 14 foot Grand Hudson Deluxe table so easy. Candidly, I had given you a difficult task when, on November 26th, I placed my order and needed delivery before the holidays. This was peak demand time for you and I was skeptical that you would be able to actually have the table built and delivered before my house guests would be arriving for the holidays. You graciously handled my multiple requests for updates and kept in touch. Even with all the handholding I was relieved when, on December 17th, you kindly emailed me the exact route of the shipment and told me when the table would be delivered on the east coast. You were precise and accurate in every statement you made and I can't tell you how much I appreciate your ability to execute flawlessly. As to the table, we absolutely love it. It's beautiful and has fulfilled every hope I had that it would be a game that would provide hours of enjoyment for couples. Good morning John, I just wanted to thank you for all your help in the selection, purchase and installation of my new shuffleboard. Your expertise and experience made the selection and purchase process extremely easy. If possible, your installation person, Obie, made the process even better. After arriving to find missing parts on the delivery truck at 10:00 AM, he worked with you, Champion and the delivery company to locate the parts. That is where his day begins for my installation. He then drove over an hour each way to retrieve the parts and complete the install. At 10:30 PM, when the installation was finished, he spent another 30 minutes going over the maintenance of the board and showing me several different ways to hold and maneuver the weight. Probably the best decision that I made was listening to your advice to take the white glove installation service. While I could have gotten the table setup and installed with my friends, there is no substitute for the knowledge of someone who has done it before. Obie made sure to level the table and checked it several times to make sure the table was set up for tournament play when he left. Only a professional installer of shuffleboard tables would be able to be so precise. I would be happy to recommend your company and installers to anyone in the future. We assembled it this morning, and it is truly an awesome piece! It fits perfectly in the place we selected for it. The play-field is SO fast! I had it leveled in just a few minutes, and the concavity is perfect so I haven't touched the climate adjusters. Most importantly, my wife was initially skeptical of this purchase because she didn't think we had enough space in the game room; but she loves it and is looking forward to playing. I was quite a novice having only played the game a handful of times at bars and a friendshouse. So when I decided to purchase a shuffleboard table, I was a little nervous. I searched theInternet to educate myself about it and came across The Shuffleboard Federation. I fell in lovewith the Heirloom table that they sold and decided to give them a call. Speaking with JohnMcDermott was very educational. He was willing to answer my every question about tabletypes, brands and the game itself. When it came time to finally make a decision on thetable brand and length, he was a tremendous help. He was very fair and guaranteed the tablewould be in my house in time for the holidays. He and the company met every expectation ofmine. The table is a beautiful addition to my home and has been a big hit with my family andfriends who visit and play often. I would recommend purchasing a table from them if you are inthe market for one. I sure will continue to use them for supplies and accessories.

To whom it may concern.... I recently had John install a Rock-Ola shuffleboard table into my new home in South Carolina. His crew members did a professional job installing the table. It was clear they had much experience. The table I received was refurbished and exceeded my expectations. Much of the interior of our home was done with reclaimed lumber for floors and ceiling. Our walls are made from wood consisting of using plank boards, bead boards and lap board. The table was a great finishing piece.

A note of thanks for providing such a wonderful shuffleboard table for my home. The table is all I hoped it would be, but better. As you know, my wife Lisa and I recently completed construction and furnishing of our second home on Kiawah Island, South Carolina. The home is beautiful and exceeds our highest expectations.
We just returned from a long weekend at the house where we entertained several friends. One of the highlights of the weekend was the evening we all spent in the game room playing shuffleboard on the beautifully handcrafted 18’ Heirloom Manchester shuffleboard table that you built for us. Quite simply, the table is stunning in every respect. Everything about the table is impressive - the massive fluted legs, deep and thick side rails, elegantly curved and leather-appointed horse collar, and perfectly toned mahogany stain that you specifically matched to complement the mahogany paneled walls and walnut floor. As with the house overall, your table as well exceeds our expectations. I have embedded and separately attached a few photographs of the table for your enjoyment.
John, I also want to express my appreciation for the “white glove” service that you provided me throughout the process, from the first day we discussed the project to the final evening when Frank and your father-in-law delivered, set up, and christened the table in its new home. My experience with you and your representatives could not have been better.

My wife and I played shuffleboard for the first time recently and fell in love with the game. We decided to buy a table and shopped around.
