Photochromic filter spectacle lenses are worn to relieve glare and hazy vision resulting from developing . cataracts, aphakia, pseudophakia, photocoagulation, glaucoma, aniridia, and retinitis pigmentosa. They improve functional vision by controlling glare, enhancing contrast, and darkening in sunlight to improve comfort. Absorb 99% UV.

Standard Series lenses absorb blue light wavelengths in the visible spectrum to three cutoffs: 511 nanometers, 527 nanometers, and 550 nanometers.

Two new lenses provide lighter and darker options: CPF 450 lenses combine moderate blue light filtering

(to 450 nanometers) and high luminous transmittance indoors (73%), with significant comfort in sunlight as the lenses darken to 18% transmittance.
