I am currently studying fulltime primary teaching

and always felt that God called me to be a

teacher. It’s been in the last two years that He

began to reveal new things about where He’s

calling me.

Growing up, I thought I knew who I was in

Christ; but whilst studying at Stairway College, I

God sees me and knowing that I am a daughter

and that He has amazing plans for my ilfe.

Peter McHughPrincipalLyn and I are enthralled by what God is doing in our congregation, city and nation. We marvel at the way our own congregation are embracing who they are in Jesus, co-labouring with Him and releasing the kingdom in their daily lives for the benefit of those around them.

We stand in awe of the work of the Holy Spirit across our city of Melbourne and state of Victoria. Watching the people of God embrace a reformation that says “all can play” and live as Sons of God. We celebrate denominational distinctives and watch the development of Kingdom culture and DNA in the midst of so many churches.

We love our country, Australia, and we are so aware that the Spirit is shaping an extended time of awakening to how good and kind God is. Church leaders all over the country are setting their hearts towards leading their churches into a supernatural lifestyle.

GOD SPACESKEYS TO PERSONAL TRANSFORMATION

God Spaces is a prophetic process to discern what God is wanting to tell you, show you, or give you. You will experience healing, release, revelation and more as you go to where God is rather than where He is not.

You will learn to use God Spaces in all areas of life – your business, marriage, family, study, your future, and more.

This course will expand your creativity in God and develop your relationship with Him as you are equipped to use God Spaces to minister to yourself and others.

INTIMACY WITH GODOne of Jesusʼ primary revelations was of God, a Father. In the Garden of Eden, God was put in the position of being a judge. However in Jesus He re-establishes His primary relational mode as Father. He is reconciled to all humanity. When we accept His reconciliation our identity, spiritual inheritance and friendship with God change dramatically...ʼold things pass away and all things become newʼ. ARTS STREAMStairway College Arts Stream will equip the kingdom artist to express the presence of God.

The creative arts are an integral vehicle of encounter with God for our culture. Discover how to access the sounds and sights of heaven and express them to those around you through the creative arts.

You will experience a rich atmosphere of His presence, Holy Spirit encounters, excellent artistic training and intimacy with Jesus. You will be moved and transformed by the empowering presence of God.

Leading and empowering creative people means more than being the lead singer in a Sunday service. There are non creative related responsibilities such as: people to guide, teams to build, conflicts to resolve, services to arrange, meetings and much more.

REDEEMING YOUR SOUNDDISCOVER PROPHETIC WORSHIP

Grow in your identity by discovering how the nature of God is key to finding the heartbeat of heaven in your life. This highly practical course explores how you can develop your sound and extend that through prophetic worship, changing your language and experiencing deeper revelation.

This course is not only for creative artists and musicians, it is also for those desiring see the atmosphere change in and around their own lives and the lives of others.

This course explores the power of song through worship. For generations Godʼs people have been inspired by songwriters and psalmists who passionately express the Fatherʼs heart.

You will engage with the presence of God and develop heart felt lyrics, psalms, melodies, riffs and arrangements to inspire our generation. Topics include:

THE GOD ARTISTDISCOVER THE ARTIST WITHIN

New and creative ways to express our worship abound in heaven. God longs to impart them to us here and now, so we can worship Him anew. Learn the fundamentals of worship, the purpose of art in the church and how to use art prophetically. This course will help you become a ̒ God Artistʼ in any creative arena. Your understanding of worship will be developed and expanded, and your creative side will be drawn out - itʼs in all of us.

My family upbringing wasn’t the easiest.

Family life was a struggle. I experienced

homelessness at the age of sixteen.

It was characterised by rejection and shame

which were significant themes growing up.

I made the committment to God at the age of

thirty one.

Stairway College has a fantastic atmosphere

that enhances the learning experience. It’s not

all just about theological knowledge, it’s about

engaging the Holy Spirit around the learning. It’s

a blend of great, deep teaching and interacting

passion and desire to know and learn about the Fathers Heart and to know Him more and more each day, spending time in His word and with like-minded people and worshipping instead of watching TV.

Have you ever wondered what your dreams mean? Have you experienced visions? What about unusual circumstances that leave you wondering whether there was something more to it? This course will explore the different ways God uses the prophetic to speak to us. Topics include:

• The Language of Dreams

• Understanding the Language of Visions

• Keys to The Language of Unusual Circumstances

Encounter more of the prophetic as you step into deeper levels of intimacy with Father God.

PREREQUISITE: Introduction to the Prophetic

DISCOVER GLOBAL MISSIONS

This course has been specifically developed for those who have a heart to explore what mission in another part of the world looks like when an emphasis is placed on God encounters. Topics covered include:

• Keys to enable people of other cultures experience a supernatural God

• Loving and engaging with a radically different culture

• Explore current mission expressions globally

You will benefit from the large range of practical elements including being part of a short term trip (approximately two weeks) to a majority world country.

Undertaking this course will empower you to partner with God and join a world wide presentation of the kingdom gospel.

PREREQUISITE: One Ministry or Arts stream subject.

ADVANCED GOD SPACES KEYS TO DEEPER ENCOUNTERS WITH GOD An advanced experience in the prophetic process known as God Spaces. In this highly practical course you will explore new depths in God Spaces, refine your refocussing skills and experience deep God encounters. Topics include:

• Understanding the Seven Foci Meta-System

• Using God Spaces to explore past influences, your present and your future

• Encountering God in space and time

• God Spaces a solution perspective

• Advanced ʻclean languageʼ skills

• Explore the different ways God speaks

Your sensitivity to God will be enhanced and you will develop skills to minister to others. It will be a fulfilling and releasing journey towards your brighter future!

Designed to further expand upon your in class training; internships give you hands on experience in a church ministry setting. As a first year intern you will:

- Complete studies as a full time student – eight subjects in one year.

- Be involved in a ministry team at your home church.

- Be mentored by a key leader of your local church who is experienced in ministry, leadership and life in God.

Fee: $1995 (includes the subject fees for eight Ministry/Arts Stream subjects) see page 24.

A Stairway College second year internship will give you an opportunity to develop deeper kingdom culture in your life. Our heart is to see an army of people empowered and equipped to express His Presence in our world. As a second year intern you will experience acceleration as you boldly step into all God has for you. You will be empowered and equipped to minister with power in your community, your church, our city and our nation.

As a second year intern you will:

- Be involved in a ministry team at Stairway Church.

- Be mentored by a staff member of Stairway Church who is experienced in ministry, leadership and life in God.

- Complete two Masterclass subjects to further enhance your kingdom revelation and spiritual equipping (see page 18).

Our internships are personlised. We recognise that God has made you to be unique and it is for this reason that the internship will be personalised to meet the individual needs of both the intern and the mentor.

Entry requirements: Stairway College second year internships are available to those who have successfully completed eight subjects from the Ministry and/or Arts stream and have shown a high standard of integrity and personal character.

COLLEGE ACCREDITATIONAccredited subjects are available in the Ministry & Arts streams. Accredited subjects credit towards a Certificate IV in Christian Ministry & Theology (10433NAT – previously 30772QLD). Note: You may choose to register for a combination of Ministry and Arts stream subjects to gain certification.

REQUIREMENTS TO ATTAIN THE CERTIFICATE: Successfully complete six core and two elective subjects (one out of each elective group – see timetable) from the Ministry and/or Arts streams. Note: Masterclass subjects are not accredited so cannot credit towards the certificate.Stairway College is a Member College for the Australian Centre for Advanced Studies (ACAS) in providing Nationally Recognised Training for the Certificate IV in Christian Ministry & Theology (10433NAT). ACAS is a registered RTO in WA, provider #50392 - www.acas.edu.au. Stairway College is in partnership with TBM Training Pty Ltd (TBM) to provide Skills Victoria Funding opportunities to eligible students, as well as Nationally Recognised Training for the Certificate IV in Christian Ministry & Theology (10433NAT). Skills Victoria Funding

Skills Victoria Funding is now available for eligible students. The Victorian Training Guarantee is making vocational education and training more accessible to people who do not hold a post-school qualification, or who want to gain a higher level qualification than they already hold. Those eligible will have access to significantly discounted fees. There are now an unlimited number of government subsidised training places available to people who meet the eligibility criteria. GENERAL COURSE INFORMATION ENROLMENTStudent intake occurs at the beginning of each term & intensive. Enrolments close on the dates listed on page 5.

According to State Department Education Requirements, entry as an accredited student (ie. those who study to gain certification) requires completion of Year 10 or higher level of study. These requirements may be waived for mature aged students (age 21+).

There are no academic admission requirements for non accredited students.

ACCREDITATION AND AWARDSStairway College is a Training Centre for the Australian Centre for Advanced Studies Inc (ACAS) in providing Nationally Recognised Training (NRT) for the Certificate IV in Christian Ministry and Theology (10433NAT). ACAS is a Nationally Recognised Training Organisation in Western Australia and is listed on the National Training Information Service. Provider No. 50392. ABN: 34 184 949 259. www.acas.edu.au.

Stairway College is in partnership with TBM Training Pty Ltd (TBM) to provide Skills Victoria Funding opportunities to our students, as well as Nationally Recognised Training for the Certificate IV in Christian Ministry & Theology (10433NAT). TBM is a registered RTO in Victoria, registration #21209 - www.tbmtraining.com.au.

Students who complete the requirements of the certificate will be awarded with the Certificate IV in Christian Ministry and Theology (10433NAT) by ACAS/TBM in association with Stairway College.

Statements of Attainment will be provided to all students completing units of competency upon request.

POLICIES & PROCEDURESSTUDENT ORIENTATIONStairway College is committed to your development and growth. It is important that you attend orientation to ensure you get the most from your training. Orientation is held at the beginning of each term/intensive. Orientation will cover:

• An introduction to Stairway College

• Operation of Stairway College, Student Support & Learning Centre information

• Outline of Stairway College’s policies regarding equity, bullying, OH&S, RPL, mutual recognition, fees and refunds

• Introduction of key staff

Further information on these topics can be found in the Student Handbook, which is a must-read for all Stairway College students.

STUDENT RECORDSA student can access their personal records through the College office by appointment.

ASSESSMENTEither the subject facilitator, or another qualified, experienced assessor appointed by the College will assess participants submissions.

If a participant is assessed as Not Yet Competent (NYC), the assessor will give clear reason as to why, and instruction on what’s required to achieve competency. If the participant is repeatedly assessed as NYC, the assessor will provide ACAS with a written report along with the assessment tool. A student may dispute their NYC assessment through a written application to the RTO (as detailed in the grievance procedure).

COLLEGE POLICIESMUTUAL RECOGNITIONUpon application, discussion and interviews, credits are granted based on certificates issued by other RTOʼs as either mutual recognition or RPL. Applications can be made through the Director of Studies.

RECOGNISED PRIOR LEARNING (RPL)RPL is available for all qualifications given by the RTO. RPL is a process through which a student applies to have an existing competency recognised within a qualification. The process will take roughly 2-4 weeks.

DISPUTESStairway College is committed to relationships. The College will do all it can to resolve any disputes that arise. All parties involved are expected to maintain confidentiality.

Students and staff should initially attempt to resolve a conflict at the level at which it occurred. If it cannot be resolved at this level, an independent mediator will review the matter. The decision of the mediator will be communicated to both parties in writing and is final.

Stairway College will ensure that all programs and courses are relevant, accessible, fair and inclusive for all who agree with the philosophy and training levels of the College, abiding by the College’s code of practice. The Director of Studies shall monitor policy compliance requirements.

DISCRIMINATION, WORKPLACE HARASSMENT AND UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOURStairway College will provide students and staff a safe place of work and study. The College’s policy on all forms of discrimination, and unacceptable conduct is outlined in the Student Handbook.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETYStairway College and Stairway Church will provide a safe and healthy workplace for staff, volunteers and students. This will be achieved by:

• complying with the ʼWorkplace Health & Safety Act 1995ʼ

• adopting risk management systems

• reporting and reviewing incidents to change practice where required

• proficiently managing situations and ongoing treatment where required

Students shall:

• comply with instructions given by College staff

• ensure they do not jeopardise the safety of anyone through their behaviour

• not misuse or abuse items or processes

• not use equipment without appropriate training

• seek to avoid injury, and not intentionally seek it

PRIVACY POLICY

Stairway College acknowledges and respects the privacy of all individuals. Information gathered by the College shall be subject to the following:

• the individual knows of and consents to the collection of information

• the information shall be used for the purpose for which it was collected

• no third-party disclosure without the individuals consent (unless required by law or for the individuals safety)

MEDIA

On occasion Stairway College classes will be recorded via various media, including photography and filming. Images of the people in attendance or participating in the class may be used on our web site, in resources and for other purposes. This includes live broadcasts during conferences where applicable.
