A portfolio of semicircular freestanding furniture, Prospect is an oasis for creativity featuring whiteboards, tackable surfaces, and media display. An ideal setting for brainstorming, pinning, and visual thinking, Prospect allows small teams and individuals to easily transition between working together and on their own.

Exterior acoustic pads wrap around the structure to add warmth to the environment.

They come in a variety of fabrics and colors.

Cultivating Innovation

Prospect is designed to encourage impromptu collaboration and to provide a sense of privacy so that people can work together and then divide and conquer, all within an open floorplan. Fostering creativity is a priority for many organizations, but great ideas don’t always come during planned meetings in a conference room. For inspiration to strike, and for teams to develop their best ideas, they need the ability to gather, co-create solutions, and break o� on their own for focused work.

A Beacon for Collaboration

Visual thinking, iteration, and collaboration are proven ways of getting to the right questions and better answers. Inside Prospect Creative Spaces, sharing ideas is as easy as turning around and scribbling on a whiteboard or pinning up work to review. The height and space between the round structure and table strike a balance between intimacy and openness, which encourages engagement by reducing visual and audio distractions.

A Solo Sanctuary

To bring their best thinking to their teams, people need time for focused work and contemplation. Prospect Solo Spaces are ideal for individual creative work or simply a place to settle in and tackle a few quick tasks. The round shape o�ers visual privacy—unique within an open floorplan—and the so�, sound-absorbing materials create a peaceful spot for working or studying.

“The most ful�lling design work I’ve done results in products thatfunction as beautifully as they look, and make a positive di�erencein the lives of people who use them,” says designer RichardHolbrook. His latest work with Herman Miller is Prospect, which began with extensive research that included visits to leading companies around the world that are pushing the frontiers of workplace strategy. “My intention with Prospect, at the highest level, is to give people a place where they are encouraged to contribute and the tools to collaborate better, to achieve more creative results,” he says.

Interior acoustic pads are tackable, allowing users to pin their ideas and inspiration.
