Schools into IndustryOur Schools into Industry programmes have had great success over the last decade, but changes in funding regimes now mean that we have to review the ways that they are delivered in the future.

These changes will not affect this years programmes, which will finish in May 2014 as planned. Over the summer, we will then review industry expectations for the programmes.

Where there is clear industry demand and support for the current format, and appropriate funding can be accessed, we will ensure that the programmes will continue through 2014.

Where new content is necessary or alternative sources of funding are needed, we will aim to relaunch the programmes in time for the 2015/16 academic year.

Industry EngagementIndustry engagement remains essential to all of Proskills activity. To expand our activities, we are creating a new network of industry Ambassadors who will help us to engage more widely. Our Ambassadors will be well known industry figures who already support our work and want to play a more practical role in improving training for our industries. Their work will help us to better understand industry needs whilst providing an easily recognisable route for employers to access our services.

During 2014, we will also host a series of provider and employer advisory panels. These sessions will provide opportunities for our partners to feedback on our services and help us to identify new services that directly meet demand.
