TESLA requirements 1. Calorimetric response for individual particles ( to test options and tune the simulation )- beams: h,e,- momentum range: (1 - 50) GeV/c- different incident angles- statistics: 106 per point, ~102 points
2. JET separation (to test/tune energy flow reconstruction)- different combinations of e, h, , with an open angles 6 mrad

IHEP accelerator parameters
- IHEP accelerator is 70 GeV proton synchrotron- cycle time - 10 s- spill time - 1.8 s- intensity ~ 11013 p/cycle- RF structure: bunch length – 40 ns, bunch spacing – 160 ns - beams are from extracted protons and internal targets
November 15-18, 2002 V. Obraztsov - Prague ECFA/DESY Workshop

Beam tests for energy resolutionSet up for energy resolution measurements
- Minimal incident angle, min~ 630, due to leakage.- Movable platform is needed for different incident angles. Different parts of set up should be adjusted too.

Conclusion 1. IHEP is ideal site for TESLA beam tests.
All tests can be done in one beam line 2. Energy resolution tests with beam particles
e- : (1-45) GeV/ch- : (1-55) GeV/c- : (1-55) GeV/c
3. Energy flow tests with additional targetSector of full Tesla detector can be tested
4. Beam time will be IHEP contribution for Tesla R&D
