ENABLE LTE on Samsung Handsets. Must be ensure handset have the LTE 1800Mhz band 3

hardware compatibility.

NOTE:

1) Custom ROMs / ROOTED Phones might does not support codes to enter service menu all

these.

To enable LTE on root phone first step - with a simple method to check their device for

root Download “Root Checker” app from google play.

2) If phone is rooted then move further to second step – Download “4G LTE Switch” app

from google play.

3) Select Preferred Network Type from the given menu & restart the device.

Getting into Service Mode (SM) – not for custom ROM’s / Rooted Phone. On Samsung mobile handsets, you have to do this: Go to dial pad and enter: *#0011# This will initially take you to Service Mode and showing you various signal stats items (GSM/LTE), by default. But it's a locked entry. So to unlock and go to the Main Menu do this:

==> [MENU] + [Back] ==> [MENU] + [Key Input] + "Q" (without Quotes) ==> [MENU] + [Key Input] + "0000" (without Quotes) ==> <wait ~5-10 seconds>

1) Go to dial pad and enter: *#0011# new windows appear automatically.

Click Back Once and then press Key Input. Type capital Q and press OK.

Enter 0000 and press OK.

Main Menus will be displayed. Click LTE from the Main Menu.

Click PREF MODE SET – 5th sub menu from the list.

GSM/WCDMA/LTE – once selected device requires restart.

Disclaimer: 1) The above mentioned settings tested successfully on Android 4.4.2 ver or below OS

versions on Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505 LTE model. Any updates or factory reset from phone requires setting steps again to reinstate LTE.

2) Above steps must be followed properly to activate the 4G/LTE services on handset to ensure any data loss/damage to file system.
