Some may stumble, but not you, on hiccough, thorough, slough, and through?

So now you are ready, perhaps, to learn of less familiar traps?Beware of heard, a dreadful word, that looks like beard, but sounds like bird.

And dead, it's saidlike bed, not bead; for goodness' sake, don't call it deed

!atch out for meatand great and threat. "#hey rhyme with suiteand straightand debt.$

A mothis not a moth in mother, nor bothin bother, brothin brother.

And hereis not a match for there, nor dearand fear, for bearand pear.

And then there's doseand roseand lose% &ust look them up % and gooseand choose

And corkand workand cardand wardand fontand frontand wordand sword

And doand go, then thwartand cart, come, come I'e hardly made a start.

A dreadful language? !hy man alie I'e learned to talk it when I was fie.

And yet to write it, the more I tried, I hadn't learned it at fifty%fie.
