    THE

    WORK TO BE

    DONE

    The miss ion work in

    Chile

    is presently

    contered

    in the

    capital city

    of Santiago.

    Here live 4,000,000

    people

    who n eed to

    h ea r th e

    gospel

of Chr is t. It is here

    too,

    that

    a

    small

    group

    of

    Church

    of

    Christ

Chr is ti an s have set

    up

    the

    Center

    of

    Chris t ian Diffusion

    in a concen t r a t ed

effort to ev ange liz e all of

    Chile.

    The

    missionaries decided upon a method

which would lay a solid foundation for

    Chris t ian faith

and estab l ish chu rches

with t ra ined leadership. Initial contact

is made through a Bible correspond

    ence

    course, where the elementary

facts of faith in Christ are taught. Some

30,000 Chileans have enrolled in this

course and addit ional advert ising could

    push

    the

    enrollment

    up

    to 100,000.

    However,

th er e a re no t enough

    workers

to do the jo b now. Upon completion

    of th e

course, Bible s tudi es a re

    set up,

    in which the

    missionary

    continues in

st ruct ion. 90 of those who are

    involved

in these home Bible s tudies

    receive

    Christ

    and a re

    baptized. These
