Promoting positive behaviour at
We focus on rewarding good behaviour choices in many ways
Positive use of language
• We use words that say what we want to happen.
Praise
• Adults look for learners
to doing something well and praise what they see.
Daily good slips
• Class teachers send home a good slip every day to learners who have shown good behaviour or learning.
Celebration assembly
• The weekly assembly celebrates good behaviour and learning.
P.O.W. cards• Pride• Of• West St Leonards
Letter home
Learners who have not had a detention all term receive a congratulations letter home to their parents/carers.

Politeness cup
• 1 learner from FS/KS1 and KS2, who have shown good manners, win the politeness cup each week .
Sharing work with other adults
• An adult from your class may decide that you have produced such good work that you can show another adult in school- maybe Mrs Robinson or Mr O’Regan.
Ping pong Treat
• When a total of 8 ping-pong balls have been collected then a whole class treat is awarded.
Postcard home• When a learner makes
an outstanding achievement s/he may receive a postcard home from the senior leadership team.
Reward Points • Reward points are
awarded on an individual basis throughout the academy.
• Learners can receive these via stickers, ticker on their name on the happy face or marked in work books 1x RP.
20 stickers Red reward card
Given out in class
40 stickers Orange reward card
Given out in an assembly and small prize
60 stickers Green reward card
Given out in an assembly and small prize
80 stickers Gold reward card
Given out in an assembly and larger prize

Special awards for children who read
7x a week, every day, last term.
