2 User Application

Here please fill in your e-mail address and click to "Continue".
Caution! Your PKI-card must be in function for opening the user application form.

3 Starting the ProjektPortal
3.1 Starting the Browser
In order to be able to log into the ProjektPortal, you first have to call up a browser
such as the Internet Explorer.
You can start the browser by clicking on the browser icon on your desktop or by
invoking it either from the Windows start menu or via Windows Explorer.
3.2 Entering the URL
You can access the ProjektPortal via the following URL, which you must enter in the
address line of the browser:
https://www.siemens.com/projektportal
Tip: Create a bookmark (via Favorites) in your browser. This saves you having to
enter the URL manually again.
After you have entered the URL, the following start page of the ProjektPortal is
displayed:
3.3 Login
You can log in either by PKI or by user ID or SMS-PIN.

3.3.1 Siemens PKI Login (for internal employees)
When selecting “Login via PKI” via Intranet, the following login mask appears:
After petition of your PKI and pressing the OK button you are directed to the
ProjektPortal user interface.
If the PKI login mask is not shown at the Projekt Portal registration, please delete
your “Cookies” and “Data” once in the Internet Explorer.
3.3.2 Login via SMS-PIN (internal employees and external users with their own
mobile phone)
To use the SMS PIN access to the ProjektPortal it is necessary to deposit once a time
a PIN in your ProjektPortal profile. (New external users will receive the Starting PIN
with an e-mail informing them of access to ProjektPortal)
For this please get access to the ProjektPortal for example with PKI, click to your user
name (on the right top side of the homepage) and deposit there your SMS PIN of 5
numbers (only numbers, no letters).
In case of your mobile phone number is deposited in SCD, this number will be used
for SMS login automatically.
In case of your mobile phone number does not exist in SCD, you may deposit your
private mobile phone number or even a landline telephone number (same procedure:
click to your user name on the right top side of the homepage).
For getting access you will have to use your PIN (the 5 numbers) + the TAN which will
be sent to your mobile phone.
There are two possibilities for depositing your PIN and mobile phone number. First via
clicking to your user name (on the right top side of the homepage)

or via the Channel “User Information” (see a separate chapter)
For Business Partners the PIN will be created via the access request for the
ProjektPortal and will be sent to the user by mail as soon as the workflow for access
is finished.
3.3.3 Login via SecurID Token (for internal and external users) only in exceptional
cases
To register via Internet via SecurID, you need a RSA SecurID token.
You can reach the fields of the login mask with the cursor by mouse click or by
tabulator button.

User-ID
The UserID consists of a code letter (Prefix) and the identification, which is imprinted
on the reverse side of the RSA SecurID Token. Your UserID will be sent to you via e-
mail by the PPortal-Team after your request is finished.
If the code letter (Prefix) is “ext”, for example, and the identification 51483866, the
UserID will be ext51483866.

Passcode (multidigit character string)
The passcode consists of your personal multidigit identification (PIN) and a 6-digit
SecurID which changes every minute and is displayed on the RSA SecurID token. If
your personal identification is 12345, for example, and the SecurID 032848 is
displayed, you will have the following passcode: 12345032848.
When you enter the Passcode, it is encoded which means that an asterisk appears in
place of each character.

Confirm this by clicking on “SecurID-Login” or pressing the “Return” key.
If you do not enter the correct passcode, a new page is displayed with a message
indicating that the authorization has failed. By clicking on an appropriate link on this
page, you can return to the “Login Menu” where you can log in again.

4 The ProjektPortal User Interface
For a better overview in the ProjektPortal, the applications were divided into different
“Tabs”.
4.1 Tab „Home“
In the tab „Home“ you can find different information applications, for example an
introduction to the ProjektPortal, User information Siemens Stock Quote, Siemens
SCD, Project Member List, ProjektPortal-News.
4.1.1 User Information
The User Information contents user-dependent information.

Register of PIN and mobile phone number for the access to the ProjektPortal
via SMS-PIN:
Here you may enter or change your PIN and mobile phone number. For this please
click to the symbol “gear wheel” in the upper rigth corner. The SMS will be sent to this
number to access the ProjektPortal via PIN and TAN (sent by SMS). Please finish this
with the button “Save”.
4.1.2 Siemens Stock Quote
Here you will find the current Siemens Stock Quote.

The Siemens Corporate Directory (SCD) is the single enterprise-wide communication
system for the Siemens Group.
4.1.4 ProjektPortal News
In this channel you can see current news for ProjektPortal and the maintenance
dates for various systems within the ProjektPortal.
4.1.5 Project Member List
In this Channel project managers as well as team members of a common project of
Business Partner File Exchange (details in chapter 4.2.1) are informed about the
members of a project (name, e-mail, project roles).

4.2 Tab „Applications“
Via the tab „Applications“ you may use applications like BPC File Exchange, OBBS,
RMT and SAP cFolders. (The content of “Applications” depends on your user rights).
4.2.1 Business Partner Collaboration File Exchange
The BPC File Exchange allows you to store and organize electronic documents in a
web-based file system.
You have the possibility to access the BPC File Exchange via the channel „BPC File
Exchange“ on the ProjektPortal user interface.

the BPC File Exchange channel

4.2.2 OBBS (Online Besprechungszimmer-Buchungssystem)
You can book your conference room online via Online Besprechungszimmer
BuchungsSystem, OBBS.
You are lead step by step through the online booking via an OBBS booking mask. For
this purpose, you are required to enter the necessary data.

4.2.3 RMT (Request Management Tool)
The RMT (Request Management Tool) is at your disposal as channel in the
ProjektPortal and consist of about 55 subsystems
The web application "RMT" you need for the recording of requirements (requests) and
its processing with defined workflows.
Please find further information about dealing with the RMT in a short guidance

4.2.4 Channel “SAP cFolders”
Please consider the references for the use of “SAP cFolders”. You can find
them via the red coloured link. Amongst others, you can find information here,
about how log in and how to procure documents.
You can gain access to the login surface via the link “my SAP cFolders”.
You can access cFolders by clicking on the Icon or on “SAP cFolders GUI” with
Single-Sign-On (SSO)
You can find detailed information about the specific functions of “SAP cFolders” via
the menu item “Help”.

4.3 Tab „E-Mail (Outlook Web Access)“
Outlook Web Access (OWA) is available with its usual functions in the ProjektPortal.
For this please login into OWA with your domain as well as your user name and your
windows password (an example is shown in the picture).
Please note that your domain is location-dependent.

4.4 Tab „Terminal Server“
Via the tab „Terminal Server“ you can gain secure access to a reduced version of
your Siemens desktop respectively to your e-mails via Outlook.
4.4.1 Client Installation
The access to the CITRIX terminal servers is made by a special software component
which is named “CITRIX-Receiver”.
When starting the webinterface it is tested, if the “CITRIX-Receiver” is installed on
your computer. If it is detected that there is no “CITRIX-Receiver” installed, you will
find a link for the download there.
Important Note: The “CITRIX-Receiver” can only be installed if the user has
administration rights to his computer.
4.4.2 Terminal Server - Login
For the registration on the CITRIX terminal server the following login data is
necessary:
- username (your windows username),
- password (your windows password) and
- domain (location-dependent)
After you have entered your login data and with a mouse clicked on the button “Log
on” you have access to the terminal server gateway with all the for you registered
applications and desktops.
After a successful authentication you can see the “Desktop” icon in the field
“Applications”.

With a mouse click on the icon you get access to your desktop via terminal server.
Here you can edit your project documents, e-mails, etc. location independent.
Important Note: To make sure that Outlook runs stably in a terminal server
session, do not open Outlook on your conventional workplace-System/CAT
client at the same time!

4.4.3 Logout – Ending a Session
Please end a terminal server session always via
„Start“ / „Shut down “ (Start / Log Off)
and not simply via closing the window. Otherwise your session will be closed, but it
remains stored on the terminal server furthermore.

5 ProjektPortal Options
5.1 Language
You can adjust the language of the ProjektPortal user interface via the browser
(“Tools” / “Internet Options” / “Languages”).

6 Logout
While you are logged into the ProjektPortal, you can access all the applications and files.
For this reason, please ensure that unauthorized persons do not gain access to these
applications and files. We therefore recommend that you logout if you are going to be
away from your workstation for any period of time.
6.1 Logout via the „Logout“ Menu Item
Once you have logged out from the ProjektPortal via the “Logout” menu item, you can
close the browser.
6.2 Session Time Out
If the ProjektPortal is not being used for a period of 120 minutes, you will be logged out
automatically. In order to be able to continue using the ProjektPortal again, you must
log in again.
6.3 Logout by Closing the Browser Window
You can use the “Close” button in the title bar of the browser window to end the log in.
Technically speaking, however, this is not the same as using the logout procedure. For
this reason, we recommend that you avoiding this method for logging out.
