    SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

    The lightning flash with arrowheadsymbol, within an equilateral triangle,is intended to alert the user to thepresence of uninsulated dangerousvoltage within the productsenclosure that may be of sufficientmagnitude to constitute a risk ofelectric shock to persons.

    The exclamation point within anequilateral triangle is intended toalert the user to the presence ofimportant operating and

    maintenance (servicing) instructionsin the literature accompanying theappliance.

    WARNING: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK, DO NOT EXPOSE THISAPPLIANCE TO RAIN OR MOISTURE. DANGEROUS HIGH VOLTAGES ARE

    Retain this information for future reference.

    Save Original Packing MaterialsThe original shipping carton and packing materials will come inhandy if you ever have to ship your LCD projector. For maximumprotection, repack the set as it was originally packed at the factory.

    Avoid Volatile LiquidDo not use volatile liquids, such as an insect spray, near the unit.Do not leave rubber or plastic products touching the unit for a longtime. They will mar the finish.

    Moisture Condensation

    Never operate this unit immediately after moving it from a coldlocation to a warm location. When the unit is exposed to such achange in temperature, moisture may condense on the crucialinternal parts. To prevent the unit from possible damage, do not usethe unit for at least 2 hours when there is an extreme or suddenchange in temperature.

    This set has been designed and manufacturedto assure personal safety. Improper use canresult in electric shock or fire hazard. Thesafeguards incorporated in this unit will protect

    you if you observe the following procedures forinstallation, use and servicing. This unit is fullytransistorized and does not contain any partsthat can be repaired by the user.DO NOT REMOVE THE CABINET COVER, ORYOU MAY BE EXPOSED TO DANGEROUSVOLTAGE. REFER SERVICING TOQUALIFIED SERVICE PERSONNEL ONLY.

    1. Read Owners ManualAfter unpacking this product, read the

    owners manual carefully, and follow all theoperating and other instructions.

    2. Power SourcesThis product should be operated only fromthe type of power source indicated on themarking label. If you are not sure of the typeof power supply to your home, consult yourproduct dealer or local power company.For products intended to operate frombattery power, or other sources, refer to theoperating instructions.

    3. Source of LightDo not look into the lens while the lamp is

    on. The strong light from the lamp maycause damage to your eyes or sight.

    4. Ventilation

    Openings in the cabinet are provided forventilation and to ensure reliable operationof the product and to protect it fromoverheating, and these openings must notbe blocked or covered. The openingsshould never be blocked by placing theproduct on a bed, sofa, rug or other similarsurface. This product should not be placedin a built-in installation such as a bookcaseor rack unless proper ventilation is provided

    or the manufacturers instructions havebeen adhered to.

    5. HeatThe product should be situated away from

    heat sources such as radiators, heatregisters, stoves, or other products(including amplifiers) that produce heat.

    6. Water and MoistureDo not use this product near water forexample, near a bath tub, wash bowl,kitchen sink, or laundry tub; in a wetbasement; or near a swimming pool and thelike.

    7. CleaningUnplug this product from the wall outlet

    before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleanersor aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth forcleaning.

    8. Power-Cord ProtectionPower-supply cords should be routed sothat they are not likely to be walked on orpinched by items placed upon or againstthem, paying particular attention to cords atplugs, convenience receptacles, and thepoint where they exit from the product.

    9. OverloadingDo not overload wall outlets; extension

    cords, or integral convenience receptaclesas this can result in a risk of fire or electricshock.

    10. LightningFor added protection for this product duringstorm, or when it is left unattended andunused for long periods of time, unplug itfrom the wall outlet.This will prevent damage to the product dueto lightning and power-line surges.

    11. Object and Liquid EntryNever push objects of any kind into this

    product through openings as they maytouch dangerous voltage points or short-outparts that could result in a fire or electricshock. Never spill liquid of any kind on theproduct.

    12. Do not place the product verticallyDo not use the product in the uprightposition to project the pictures at theceiling, or any other vertical positions.It may fall down and dangerous.

    13. Stack InhibitedDo not stack other equipment on this

    product or do not place this product on theother equipment.Top and bottom plates of this productdevelops heat and may give someundesirable damage to other unit.

    14. AttachmentsDo not use attachments not recommendedby the product manufacturer as they maycause hazards.

    15. AccessoriesDo not place this product on an unstable

    cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table. Theproduct may fall, causing serious injury to achild or adult, and serious damage to theproduct. Use only with a cart, stand, tripod,bracket, or table recommended by themanufacturer, or sold with the product. Anymounting of the product should follow themanufacturers instructions, and should usea mounting accessory recommended by themanufacturer.A product and cart combination should bemoved with care. Quick stops, excessiveforce, and uneven surfaces may cause theproduct and cart combination to overturn.

    16. Damage Requiring ServiceUnplug this product from the wall outlet and

    refer servicing to qualified servicepersonnel under the following conditions:a) When the power-supply cord or plug is

    damaged.b) If liquid has been spilled, or objects have

    fallen into the product.c) If the product has been exposed to rain or

    water.d) If the product does not operate normally by

    following the operating instructions. Adjustonly those controls that are covered by theoperating instructions as an improperadjustment of other controls may result indamage and will often require extensivework by a qualified technician to restore theproduct to its normal operation.

    e) If the product has been dropped ordamaged in any way.

    f) When the product exhibits a distinct change

    in performance this indicates a need forservice.

    17. ServicingDo not attempt to service this product

    yourself as opening or removing coversmay expose you to dangerous voltage orother hazards. Refer all servicing toqualified service personnel.
