Project Title: “GIS and JOURNALISM” serious tools for serious storytelling

Introduction

The project built the capacity of selected Nigeria Journalists from across the Country in using MapWindow 4 Desktop GIS software and Google Fusion Tables to manage, analyze, map and report Stories/Reports.

Also a Policy Dialogue Conference was held to further build their capacity in using data and ICT for their work and to network them been the new hub of digital Journalism in Nigeria. The conference produced a communiqué which is expected to facilitate Computer-Assisted Journalism in Nigeria.
