ALEXANDRA MORRIS F O U N D E R / D I R E C T O R

Alexandra studied at the renowned Design Centre, Enmore in Sydney. Post-graduation in 2008 she co-founded MorrisCo Design. Now, after eight successful years, Alexandra has relaunched herself as MorrisCo Design.

Alexandra has successfully collaborated with several notable brands such as Westfield, Napoleon Perdis, Bankwest, Versace, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Foxtel and many more over her fourteen years within the industry. As such, Alexandra takes pride in her knowledge of all phases of project development.

With a diverse portfolio spanning residential, retail, hospitality and corporate, Alexandra overlooks all projects at MorrisCo Design ensuring every project is well considered and the client is nurtured from start to finish.

Often found wondering through antique stores and general bric-a-brac bazaars, Alex is always on the hunt for interesting and beautiful objects to fill her home. She dreams of relocating her family to the seaside in Italy one summer while learning to cook authentic Italian food.applied to timber paneling. EVELYN FELLEGVARIS E N I O R I N T E R I O R D E S I G N E R

Joining MorrisCo Design with seven years of commercial & residential experience, Evelyn was hungry to sink her teeth into the hospitality and retail spaces. After completing her studies at the Whitehouse Institute of Design in 2010, Evelyn went on to work with a number or interior designers and architects around Sydney.

This experience allowed Evelyn to develop an enthusiasm for functionality & longevity in design whilst keeping aesthetics at the heart of each project. She particularly loves the combination of natural, new and bespoke products.

Evelyn enjoys showing off her creativity on the kitchen with a passion for cooking and finding new and exciting places to visit.

ALICIA BATESS E N I O R I N T E R I O R D E S I G N E R

Bringing over 10 years of design experience and knowledge, Alicia is an integral member of the team. She completed her formal studies at the Canberra Institute of Technology and then later at the University of Canberra. With a strong background in concept design she loves bringing projects to life with her keen eye for detail.

Alicia has designed retail environments for stores in Westfield, QIC, Stocklands, AMP, Lend Lease and Centro centers across Australia. As a result she has a vast experience dealing with retail design managers, leasing managers and contractors.

Alicia loves the beach, outdoors and travelling along our coastline. She also enjoys the occasional Wes Anderson film for inspiration on a quirky interior, reading travel and recipe books and trawling the design and fashion markets.

FROM THE MOMENT WE STEPPED INTO MORRISCO DESIGN AND MET ALEX WE KNEW IT WAS THE COMPANY WE WANTED TO WORK WITH. L I S A C A V A L L E R O

The brief was simple on this project, to design a kiosk that has an Italian espresso feel. Located at the entrance of Westfield Liverpool within a huge atrium space, we had the height to create the perfect overhead structure.

VINE & GRIND

The structure provided the opportunity to hang foliage and attach signage. Beautiful hand-made terracotta tiles were selected for the counter front, marble bench tops and Porters paint’s Palm Beach black was applied to timber paneling. An additional seating area connects to the main structure with vintage lights hanging over.

Located across from Circular Quay in the heart of Sydney’s CBD is the third store we have designed for this brand.

The palette of finishes that we had developed previously were implemented along with custom made printed tiles and newly sourced large black and white prints applied as wallpaper.

This is the second store that we have designed for the Espresso Room brand. The brief for this site was to take the concept that we developed for the Woden store and make it relevant for this site. The shopfront was existing and couldn’t be touched so we decided to create a space within the space to anchor the main bar area and to maximise seating.

A custom steal structure was designed so that menu boards and pendants could be hung from. A mixture of furniture was selected to create a relaxed feel.

Established brand Mad Mex approached to design their prominent corner site at the new East Village in Zetland. The existing palette remained true to the brand with the addition of a newly designed Corona chandelier, crate display wall and new shopfront design.

Our first store for this well established brand located in the heart of the Sydney’s CBD inside the MLC foodcourt.

Our focus was to pair back the finishes and provide a more sophisticated and refined palette, especially considering it’s location.

Concrete herringbone tiles where used on the floor, black pavers clad the prep area while a neon cactus takes centre stage.

The screen that clads the only wall inside the shop, takes reference from a Besser block and is back illuminated to add warmth.

Textured wall paint adds movement and depth while the illuminated button sign stays true to the brands existing DNA.

With the concept of “farm to plate”, this gourmet butcher located in the Hall Street precinct of Bondi Beach delivers this and more. With a mixture of rustic recycled Australian timbers, simple white gloss wall tiles and milk washed bricks, 1888 Certified provides a premium butcher retail space.

We were approached to design the very first Park Clinic in Australia, a premium plastic & cosmetic surgery located in Woolloomooloo. It was important to create a professional yet warm introduction to the clinic.

Warm timber flooring, marble and polished brass wall lights were implemented to set the mood. The impressive plant wall anchors the reception desk while injecting a subtle element of nature into the interior.
