Goals for implementing Project Online
Main goal:
Provide an efficient common project management tool for all the projects and a portfolio tool for the Project Sponsors
� Get rid of the manual tools for reporting and double data entry, integrate with Oracle
� Align across the organisational units to make global project execution easier
� Get overviews, financial and project status in an easy way, pr. project and portfolio (region / unit/ service line / ecosystem, etc.)
� Be able to take action earlier to mitigate risks related to project execution
� Ensure easy access to templates and support for the governance
� Ensure information security of project information and archiving project documentation
� Use the company provided and supported tools for delivering/executing projects and.
� Target group is the people with the roles: Project Managers, Project Sponsors, Product Owners, Resource Managers, Team Members and Controllers

How to get business value?
� Business value and user adoption depends on leadership support
and engagement, and some discipline.

Which means that you should:
� Appoint “Expert Users” in section/region
� Give room for training (videos, learning by doing,
asking experts).
� Take Project Professional training if large projects
� Give specific guidance to the various roles if needed
� Make relevant dashboards to make the Project
Online data visible and useful
� Ensure status reporting on projects you will follow
� Ask for the risk list from the projects, are
Information Security risks assessed? Help mitigate
the risks.
