PROJECT LEVEL 3 AIR POLLUTION Introduction Air Pollution on the Earth is the bigger problem that we have in current society. The first one is air pollution. Air pollutants come in the form of gases or particles, this means the main Air Pollution, that breathe our lungs are dangerous chemicals. One of the main causes is the smoke emitted from various forms of combustion like in bio mass, burning of Fossil Fuels like coal, petroleum and other combustible, vehicles, furnaces etc. Wastes used to create landfills generate methane, that is harmful in several ways. Manufacturing industries release large amount of carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, organic compounds and the reactions of certain gases and chemicals also form harmful fumes that can be dangerous to the well being of living creatures. In terms of its effects, the most worrisome is the deterioration of the ozone layer, global warming and the diseases (Children in areas exposed to air pollutants are said to commonly suffer from pneumonia and asthma). The ozone layer provides the existence of the ecosystems on the planet, but it's being depleting due to increased pollution. Global warming is a direct result of the increased imbalance of the levels of the gases in the atmosphere, one of the mains effects is the extinction of some species. The Air Pollution is not a desirable and not provided a healthy place to live, is then one of the larger challenge we need to overcome. References - Household air pollution and health.
