Kate Whistler, shares the history with OhioHealth that has allowed for such a great partnership over the course of six plus years. “Our relationship started in 2010 with Mike Scholl and the award of the $300 million Neuroscience Center at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Hammes worked side-by-side with OhioHealth to bring the Neuroscience Center in with approximately $20 million in savings and on schedule. We forged strong relationships with the Senior Vice President of Operations, who was the CEO of the Riverside Methodist during the Neuroscience project, as well as the Vice President of Design and Construction and both of his directors. In addition, we worked closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Information Officer. Our reputation with those key team members paved the way for our continued two year revolving contract to manage approximately 10 complicated and strategic projects across the system. Their trust and confidence in us is evident in the caliber of projects we are managing. In addition, we were awarded OhioHealth’s $100 million Corporate Administrative Office over this summer. We will be working with many familiar team members and we will be partnering with Gresham, Smith and Partners. We are excited to have an opportunity of exposure to many new OhioHealth team members.” – Kate Whistler Mount Kisco Completes Much Needed Repairs Property Manager, Dan Zingone, recently went through a series of repairs and replacements at the Mount Kisco location in upstate New York. Building Relationships Leads to Successful Partnerships—OhioHealth’s Story One of the core values that you have heard throughout the year is that we are a relationship based company. This value is demonstrated time and time again, and yet again with Hammes’ relationship with OhioHealth.

SHSMD Follow-UpWhat a success and job well done by all involved in this year’s SHSMD Connections Conference. SHSMD kicked off on Sunday, September 11th with an outstanding keynote speaker, Ann Compton, who commemorated the day we all will never forget. From Sunday to Wednesday, the conference entailed presentations and networking opportunities that our team was pleased to contribute to. We would like to give a special thank you to our very own, Rex Holloway, who facilitated the leading panel discussion ‘Enterprise-Wide Access Strategy’ with three other renowned healthcare strategists. Between our ability to exhibit, network and speak, the conference was a success for all.

APP OF THE MONTH

WAZE offers one of the best community based-traffic and navigation applications because its traffic and road information is shared by users such as yourself.

SAFETY

Lyft versus Uber – Which Service is Safer? There is no doubt that Uber has swiped the nation in best preferred ride sharing service. In fact, according to rideshareapps.com, if you combined all Uber trips taken in the past 5 years, the total distance is just over a round trip to Saturn. But have you thought to look into its competitor? Lyft is Uber’s strongest competitor that services the same need, offers the same quick response pick up in almost any location, but offers a stronger feature that differentiates itself- Safety. Between Lyft’s $1,000,000 liability insurance protection plan for all rides, 24/7 support, mandatory DMV and background check protocol, and 19 point vehicle inspection, there is a reason the majority of drivers prefer Lyft over Uber.
