2.0 ARTIFICIAL LIGHTING

2.1 Zone: Café & Gallery According to MS1525, the illuminance required for the cafeteria is 200lux.There are different types of lighting fixture used for respective purposes. The lighting level id divided accordingly to the targeted lighting level for each type of light bulb.

Conclusion:Calculation shown 16 units of pendant light consist of Philips Standard Extra Low Voltage A60 (1300Lm) are required to light up 100 lux of cafeteria and 12 units of wall scone consists of Philips Linear Compact Fluorescent Lamp 4-pin base (1769Lm) are required to light up another 100 lux of gallery in the cafeteria to achieve 200 lux standard for dining area.

Conclusion:The reverberation time for the workshop is 1.3s . It is a good and recommended range of sound level. The sound is within the space and does not take much time to reflect. Comfortable environment is produced for the user in the area as there are fewer echoes produced.

5.0 Sound Reduction Index 5.1 Zone: Workshop

The table shows the sound pressure levels of common sound sources

From the table above, the average sound pressure produced by the workshop is around 85dB. The west side of the café , consists of the curtain windows (45dB) with the area of 18m² and the east side consists of the brick wall (48dB) with the area of 17m².
