• Johnson County lacks an art center, or any type of cultural heritage center

• 2009: Direction given to find a new home for the Johnson County Museum.
• 2011: 8788 Metcalf site purchased for • 2011: 8788 Metcalf site purchased for $6.50/square foot (land value) with comps at $6-$16 per square foot.

• 2013: The first phase of occupancy was funded but not authorized to proceed
• 2014: BOCC directs staff to develop a revised plan
• 2014: Independent appraisal concluded in a current sale, the highest and best use is vacant land for redevelopment.
